A heavy cruiser of the "Fleet of Fog". Modeled after Takao, the lead ship of the Imperial Japanese Navy's Takao-class cruisers. Takao's Mental Model is very curious by her nature, which has led her to unwittingly collecting a lot of information about humanity. This ship is a universal soldier in World of Warships. Her abundant artillery, and powerful torpedoes with a firing range of 10 km make her a very dangerous opponent for the majority of ships.

• Ten 203 mm guns placed in five turrets. Her main battery is notable for its potential to cause a great deal of damage
  
• Four quadruple-tube torpedo launchers with very comfortable aiming angles. Torpedo firing range—10 km; maximum damage—17,233 per hit
  
• Low detectability range for a Tier VIII heavy cruiser
  
• High maximum speed for her type and tier—35 knots
  
• Access to the Repair Party consumable, which is unavailable for most Tier VIII cruisers
