“This Is Not Chess is planned to have most of its bugs squashed, a set of competent AI for computer players, a single completed story across twenty-five or so levels and at least as many challenge levels.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently This Is Not Chess is in a playable state with fifteen story levels, several challenge levels and a selection of unlockable characters. It also has all the editors readily available and can accept custom content.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“As each chapter of the story and batch of levels added, the price will be slowly incremented.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I am particularly interested in hearing thoughts and feelings on gameplay mechanics, user interface and game balance. I intend to be active on the Steam Discussion forums as a primary source of communication.”
