Varför Early Access?

“This is a great question! Currently this is the latest version from the console version of the game, we are now taking that and iterating on it to make it bigger and better, adding new puzzles and mechanics as well as lots of gameplay and quality of life improvements - and we'd like to involve the Steam community in this.”

Ungefär hur länge kommer det här spelet att vara i Early Access?

“About 6 months to a year, we have a roadmap but that has to be flexible to allow the community to help steer the product.”

Hur är det tänkt att den fullständiga versionen ska skilja sig från versionen i Early Access?

“We want to add in additional game modes, switch up the levels into smaller chunks, daily challenges, pre set challenges, art and sound updates. We plan to go through the dictionary and add in new words and update older definitions. We're also looking into translations for the definitions so non English speakers can also enjoy the game whilst learning some English words.”

Hur är det nuvarande läget i versionen med Early Access?

“Gameplay wise It is the same latest release version on Consoles - with some work to make it play better on PC and Steam deck and a few bug fixes. (See regular update notes)
It's a fully playable game with about 4-6 hours gameplay depending on your skill level with word puzzles. It's procedural, so wonderfully re-playable, with 270 levels split over three chapters. Higher levels introduce new rules and mechanics as you go such as different tile types like hidden tiles, improved score, unusable tiles, restrictions on word length / letters they must contain.
The game play consists of finding words within the board, letters are then replaced from the top of the board. Words must be a minimum of three letters long. Mia will help out where she can, with more and shorter recommendations on lower levels. On higher levels she will only provide the length of the word and a few key letters.

“We are planning a price rise after early access to acknowledge the extra work that has gone into the game during this period.”

Hur planerar ni att involvera gemenskapen i er utvecklingsprocess?

“Initially via the Steam forums (if there's enough interest we'll also use discord). We're planning on asking specific questions on the continued development, we have 4 years worth of ideas - so choosing which are best and what people want is the main plan. We'll set up a visible roadmap early on during early access to show players our plans and ideas. If people have problems with the game play and mechanics, or difficulty - anything they aren't happy with, then we can add those features to the roadmap”
