Varför Early Access?

“Genetic Fluff is a solo development dream project of mine. I am dedicated to bringing the game to completion, but I need the Early Access Community's feedback to make this the best game possible. Genetic Fluff is almost complete, please join me for the last leg of Genetic Fluff's development journey!”

Ungefär hur länge kommer det här spelet att vara i Early Access?

“The game needs about 3-6 months more development in early access. I hope to release before the this year 2025 is done.”

“When the game is finished there will be multiple galaxies and planets to visit. All the planned bosses are finished. Collectable creatures will be hand crafted and separately configured. More music and sound effects are going to be produced to complement the new scenes.”

“Genetic Fluff is playable right now and is nearly complete. There a multiple galaxies and planets with unique stories, where you travel and collect Genetic Fluff creatures. The main menu is fully functional, with Profile Saving/Loading, Accessibility Options and Sound Options. Genetic Fluff features 4 player local multiplayer. All 4 characters (Elio, Aster, Ada and Sten) are present in all the levels and will fight by your side with Player AI when no controller (Person) is present. You can also switch characters during gameplay.”

Kommer spelet att prissättas annorlunda under och efter Early Access?

“I might raise the price just a little when the game is fully featured for final release.”

“I am going to participate in Steam discussions, and release videos showcasing new game features. Genetic Fluff is proudly created using the Godot Engine. I am looking forward to contributing to the game, art and music development community by showing how I produce my game, one pixel, musical score and line of GDScript at a time.”

Genetic Fluff is an action-adventure creature collection game with local multiplayer support for up to 4 players. You play as time traveling outlanders Elio, Ada, Sten and Aster, each making their way through other worldly adventures. Our outlander heroes are guided by their abilities to use Genetic Fluff and their companion 'Gene'. You will collect and build up your creature collection gaining experience and leveling up during battle. Find special items and discover untold mysteries in a real-time action adventure that you and your friends/family can complete together or alone with local multiplayer support. Defeat bosses in battle and skillfully avoid enemies in the many conflicts you will encounter on your way through space and time.

Features:

  • Unleash and level-up your companions during battle to help you defeat your enemies
  • Full controller support (keyboard still is an option and mouse support for menus)
  • Punch, kick, headbutt and use your Genetic Fluff powers to fight your way through conflict
  • Jump-attack flying and higher altitude opponents
  • Jump or dash to avoid moving obstacles and projectiles
  • Characters and creatures are equipped with unique projectiles
  • Collect items and loot for quests and to heal/power-up
  • Game Progress is automatically saved after each stage is complete
  • Portals are available after completion of milestones to make it easy to continue your adventure

Controller, Keyboard and Local Multiplayer Notes:

  • Player 1 always uses the Keyboard and Controller 1
  • Multiple controllers are needed for two, three and four players simultaneously (i.e. Four (4) Xbox Controllers are needed for 4-player gameplay)
  • When controller is enabled (plugged in to computer), most keyboard gameplay buttons are disabled (except for enter, F1, F2, and menu navigation keys when the menu is open)
