«I plan to release early versions incrementally for approximately one year. I began development in 2018. Since then the project has gone through many iterations. As most systems have been completed, I am confident that with your help, feedback and critique - a stable and fun release is very achievable.»

Ποια είναι η τρέχουσα κατάσταση της έκδοσης Πρόωρης Πρόσβασης;

«Rise of Piracy's current state is mostly stable, with limited maps and game modes. There are a few bugs here and there that are not game-breaking, and all have workarounds. There is 10 playable ships, and 5 enemy types. There is 5 crew unit types and 20 building types. Building destruction is limited to towers and walls.

Multiplayer

The multiplayer implementation is solid so far, with most systems already implemented. More are planned for the near future as we progress through the final iterations of the Campaign Map.
PvP and Coop modes require a very different set of dependencies and because of this, I will be releasing initially with only PvP.

Single Player

The campaign mode is in development now. A fog of war system is in place, AI behaviors are defined and some implemented, a map layout for the initial campaign has been drawn, and the artwork is making good progress. Encounters, faction behaviors, simulated battles and missions are still works in progress.

Language support

Currently only English is supported. Some of the groundwork is in place to localize everything visible within the game though.»

«The base price will remain the same throughout Early Access. There will be a discount at launch, but then discounts periodically during the rest of the development.

After Early Access the price will reflect the quality of content delivered. I do not plan to have any DLC currently. I would much rather increment the base game in free updates.
