Introduction

A retired samurai (主) is tasked with saving the world from intelligent, language-devouring "Akuma" with the help of an eccentric fox (人) unchained from a cursed abode and an astute princess (公) with her own ambitions.

Shujinkou is a dungeon crawling JRPG that facilitates Japanese language learning. It features thousands of Japanese words, phrases, kana, kanji, and grammar that players are able to, with focus, diligence, and consistency, learn during play. The scope of words, phrases, and grammar range from JLPT's N5 to N1 standards.

However, learning Japanese is an optional function and feature of Shujinkou, and players who are not interested in learning a language can hone in on hundreds of skills, items, deep forging, cooking, fishing, quest, achievement, record, and minigame mechanics in order to experience a comprehensive JRPG with a grand world, riveting story, multifaceted characters, beautiful artwork, hours of dynamic music, and a complex set of RPG mechanics that tie the experience together.
