Why Early Access?

“In its current stage, Bitty Engine is fully usable. However, I am still testing the tool and will make updates based on the feedback I get from the users. It really motivates me that people enjoys the tool. I therefore greatly appreciate feedback and suggestions, so that I can continue developing the tool to make it more efficient and friendly for everyone to use.”

Approximately how long will this software be in Early Access?

“Bitty Engine will be out of early access when the main features have been validated and the application is confirmed to be mostly bug free. This might take months, but it ultimately depends on the feedback I get along the way.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“During development, I will continually polish the API, editors, tools and reference manual, gradually moving the application towards its final state. Bitty Engine is a very technical project written in C++, and I might want to bring it to more operating systems.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“All the features listed in the "About This" section below are already implemented. The early access version is perfectly usable and not very buggy. You can already use it to build something fancy.”

“I plan to raise the price when Bitty Engine leaves early access.”

Bitty Engine is a cross-platform itty bitty Game Engine. The full featured engine is programmable in Lua and integrated with built-in editors. It keeps the nature of both engine's productivity, and fantasy computer/console's ease to iterate. It boosts your commercial/non-commercial projects, prototypes, game jams, or just thought experiments.
