What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Currently, the game is still in a rougher state, isn't totally complete and filled with content, and there are lots of improvements to be made from launch. With our time in Early Access, we want to make sure that we get this game as amazing as possible once we launch into full release. What we're laying out for you all is the game with all of the base mechanics and some flesh, with an open and accessible community you can interact with and simple outreach to us for anything that can improve the game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We don't really have any exact dates, but the goal for releasing the complete game is in Summer of 2021.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“There are various additions that are going to be added into the game as time goes on, such as:
- Different weapons, including different projectile mechanics and shooting patterns
- A ton of enemies to keep the arcade gameplay fresh
- A smorgasbord of weird, freaky bosses to fight
- Upgrades, shop mechanics, and NPCs to interact with on the overworld
- Unique items and actives you can pick up during gameplay
- Slowly improving Steam integration (achievements, stats, cloud saves, etc.)
- A variety of different gameplay modes and styles (the main wave-based game, an arcade mode, boss rush, etc.)

Of course, there's other things that we'd like to do as well, but it's best not to make promises that might not be fulfilled, so this is what we're sticking to for now.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“As of (or rather by, at the moment, cuz the game ain't been released yet, but this is the game plan) initial release, the game is in an early beta state, where we've pretty much laid out the foundation of the game, which includes:

- Two of the planned game modes (Waves and Timed Arcade)
- 9 weapons
- About 90 items
- 15 different enemy types (excluding variations)
- Half of the NPCs and shops planned
- A handful of characters to choose (approx 1/4 of what's planned)
- Partial controller support

There are still plenty of features that are planned for the release version that haven't entered development yet or have just started, such as:

- Full controller support
- Character customization
- An expansive OST
- Different arena setting, scenarios, events, etc.
- New game modes (including boss rush, one life run, and more)
- Challenges to unlock weapons, items, upgrades, or cosmetics”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game will increasingly go up in price as we flesh out the mechanics of the game, fill in gaps with new content, add more polish, improve gameplay mechanics, all that stuff. Increments of price are estimated to go up by $1 every 1-2 months, and the game will retail for $9.99 upon release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Early Access is gonna be important to us, and because of that, we want to keep you guys as involved and informed as possible. Along with being active in the game's Steam discussion page for feedback and suggestions, letting players tell us if there's anything wrong with the game or of any additions they'd like, we also want to put out weekly dev logs detailing how the development of the game is going, good or bad. We want to keep development transparent, so whatever goes on we'll tell you.”

About This Game

Robots from CompanyCorp Industries Inc. all over the galaxy have begun to go rogue, and they've invaded your city. You're the only schmuck who can afford a jetpack, are you up to the task to save your disgusting pile of a city?

Jetpackin' Heat++ is a remake/sequel of the original Jetpackin' Heat (available on Google Play), where the game expands upon the original concept of an omnidirectional arcade shooter, grabs it by the balls, and injects it with unique wave-based roguelite mechanics, letting you upgrade your character, buy loads of insane weapons, and maybe even snort some "special powders" for random boosts! The world you're in full of cartoonish depravity, so whatever sick stuff you want to do is possibly in here!

You play as Jimmi Generique, your not-so-average citizen of Deluria City, a city that inhabits the strangest, most filthy and disgusting people of the galaxy, filled with freaks and weirdos around every corner. After the massive data corruption in the CompanyCorp production plants all over the galaxy, their leagues of once helpful robots have begun to wreak terror upon the world. Undeterred by the trashiness of your city, they come after your hometown and make things slightly worse than usual!
Are you just gonna stand there and do nothing about it?
Well, I mean, realistically you could, but your lifespan's gonna be shorter than usual. So let's go do something about it!
You're the only guy who can afford to buy a jetpack and take down these menaces and save your city(kinda)!

Jetpackin' Heat++ lets you go insane with the combat, featuring loads of unique enemies, freakish bosses, a wide variety of weapons of all types, and wacked out upgrades and items that get between waves! Ever wanted to kill robots with a sour cream gun? Well, you can definitely do that here! Don't think it's just the robots getting hurt though, because the game includes a huge amount of different blood and gore mechanics, making sure that every hit you take is gonna pack a massive punch, and extreme death animations that'll make you question what the animator's been doing with his life!
