Why Early Access?

“We want to make the best game we can, and after releasing the Demo we got a lot of good feedback from the community and realized working with the community on building the game is in the community and the game's best interest. Patient Zero is a large randomly generated dungeon crawler and there is a lot we want to add to this game in the way of items, abilities, and biomes. Early Access is the best way to grow the world of Patient Zero and receive valuable feedback and collaborate with our players throughout the development of the game”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“About six months to a year, Dependent on the player feedback and how much content we want to add to the final game. But may take longer”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“A lot of the game is done in terms of gameplay, But We plan to add more new content such as Items, enemies, Boss battles, Biomes, and Player Abilities. Patient Zero is a procedurally generated roguelike and realizes on a lot of content to make each run in the void feel different and unique. so in Early Access, We will be working towards making hundreds of different items, enemies, boss battles, Biomes, each with their own unique abilities and cosmetic changes within the Void.

Plus we will focus on polishing the game removing as many of the bugs players will find and improving art and effects over the Early Access period.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“As stated above a lot of the core gameplay and features are finished such as World Generation, Player Controls, menus, save system, as well as some enemies, bosses, and items allowing you to run through the first three biomes of the game and Finish a run.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We intend to increase the price after the Early Access period.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community will be involved in every step of development and can provide us feedback and suggestions via our dedicated discord server as well as living us fan art and just finding fellow patients zero players to chat to.
The community can also find us doing live Patient Zero game development over at Twitch.tv where you can interact with us and post your suggestions and feedback live 3 times a week.

About This Game

Patient Zero is a randomly generated twin-stick shooter Action-adventure game with great emphasis on its roguelike elements. You play as one of the hazmat crew enlisted in a top-secret adventure to find Patient Zero and stop another deadly virus from sweeping the world. This task will take you into the Void a simulation where a randomly generated stage of events are awaiting you. As you delve deeper into the Void you will find treasures that might give you unworldly powers but be careful as not all items are what they seem and knowledge of the Void is vital to survive. These randomly generated dungeons will be filled with all kinds of treasures, monsters, and bosses for you to take on along your way to finding Patient Zero and saving humanity from total annihilation
