“We want to work with the community as we build, refine and polish the game for the best possible experience.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to release the full game by 2024, so tentatively about a year, however this may change depending on player feedback and the amount of content we will be adding during this time.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The final release will contain all the features on our current wish list for Artifice. This includes Stronghold rulers, more champions, more items, new biomes, and battle objectives.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“All the core systems and features of the game will be in the Early Access version; however, we will continue to revise, refine and polish throughout this period. At the Early Access launch, Artifice shall feature a single-player campaign with 3 base champions and 6 unlockable ones complete with their traits and ability progression, up to 60+ Items and equipment, two out of three realms, each consisting of different types of traps, enemies and stronghold bosses.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will not change during early access however it may increase moderately when we release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We intend to work closely with the community throughout Early access and have open communication via Discord and Steam forums for the following:

Player journey
Gameplay balance
New feature ideas or improvements
General feedback and suggestions
Bug reports
Supporting test branches
Players who offer feedback regularly will be provided with beta builds for testing new features.

About This Game

A turn-based strategy set in a medieval fantasy world where victory is earned through cunning tactics and skillful execution. Outwit your enemies by avoiding their deadly traps and unleash devastating combos with allies. Survive waves of relentless foes and conquer strongholds by defeating their powerful bosses.

FEATURES

Ambush: Strategically maneuver through ambushes and position your champions to remove or disrupt enemy threats in various skirmishes.
Let none escape: Ensnare and eliminate enemies using unique movement patterns and skills.
Trigger chain reactions: Assemble an array of champions to pierce, burn, poison, and pull enemies into traps or in the range of your allies creating an explosive chain reaction.
9 playable champions: Unlock new champions. Upgrade their traits, stat bonuses, and new abilities as the campaign progresses.
Spoils of war: Bolster your squad by pillaging enemy provinces for unique loot.
2 Stronghold bosses: Challenge bosses in their strongholds to claim new territory.
4 biomes: Unique biomes each with their own hazards that can disrupt enemy and player forces alike.
