What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want to develop Fear of The Unknown alongside our players to see what they want and implement it into the game. We also want to make sure that everything is perfect before it passes the Early Access stage.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game will be made up of different scenes which come out separately. Each scene takes around 1-2 months to develop which might put the entire game in Early Access stage for 6 months to a year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of the game will of course include all scenes of Fear of The Unknown - Chapter One. We are also looking to include all horror encounters, puzzles, sound effects, narration, language setting, characters, environments, and in-game intractables.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game currently includes the fully playable scene one of Fear of The Unknown Chapter One. It comes with its complete story, puzzles, encounters, narration, environment, and characters. Players will have access to two different environments, one playable character, and multiple scare characters or NPCs.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We will be looking into increasing the price gradually as new content or scenes are being uploaded into the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“As we have scenes developed separately, we will be able to take the time and see what our players like or hate or if they have any suggestions or ideas that we could implement into the game or future scenes. Committed players will also have the chance to participate in future beta testing of our next scenes/chapters which allows our community to get more engaged in the development of Fear of The Unknown. We will also consider every review and comment on our social media.”

About This Game

Experience the horror in reliving the past of mysterious and horrible crime scenes that have taken place in this strange world. Fear of The Unknown targets the fear of the "unexpected" or the "unknown" and uses multiple environments to amplify the fear that this game provides.

Fear of The Unknown's scene one follows the story of Edward Hevaney, particularly the story of his death. His job as a personal doctor to a patient named Marilyn, required him to leave the city and visit her twice-weekly. However; his last visit does not end well...

Fear of The Unknown contains suspenseful events designed to keep the player waiting, not knowing what comes next, but those pauses can also be moments of realization.

Unlike most horror games out there, Fear of The Unknown's environments are unique. They are designed to provide the player with realistic places and the feeling of actually being there. Looking around might just be the right thing to do if you are a story seeker.

Solving some puzzles will allow you to learn the past and the truth behind everything, mainly the past of the dark figure. But be careful not to go too deep, or you might just end up like the rest of them.
