Why Early Access?

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“As soon as all milestones for the main campaign are finished, we plan to leave the Early Access state.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan that the main story will take around 60 hours to complete. Also many optional quests will be included. You can explore a huge fantasy world with completely different landscapes and cities. It will be an amazing experience!”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version includes a part of the starting area "Aclendi Woods". There are various equippable items and enemy types that all behave differently. Almost every content is made from scratch. You can level up your avatar, use combo attacks, spells, explore, talk to people and complete sidequests. The current accessible part of the map can take around 3 hours by completing the quests.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, please keep in mind that the price is going to be raised after we have implemented several cost intensive features.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“For now we will use the Steam Forum and Social Media platforms to spread our outreach. Additionally an official Discord Server has been launched.”

About This Game

Apprentice Arriving is a narrative-driven 3D-Fantasy RPG played in 3rd-Person with a unique set of gameplay elements that heavily focus on character development and growth. Guide Prince Landon’s way as he fights Maira’s mystical creatures to become a true and worthy Paladin. But as your slumbering powers grow, so do the dark forces tracking your every step.

In a land ravaged by wars between mankind and the forces of evil, a placid kingdom was born by the hand of Queen Licy and her benevolent husband. Founded as a safe haven against the voracious darkness in the world, the Kingdom of Aclendi prospered for years under the guidance of her two sovereigns, who gave birth to a son and spent most of their years together in peace. Until the day the good king died, under mysterious circumstances

Prince Landon attended the funeral, only to see his mother magically disappear
before his very eyes. Rushing to his mother’s room, Landon found but a letter of hers
as his call to adventure. The letter invited Landon to an unknown place called "Dormum".

Landon’s yearning for adventure needed no more; the Prince, who had never left the kingdom in his lifetime, resolved to depart for Dormum. On his journey he will face unexpected challenges and needs to discover his hidden potential. The only question remaining is, will it be enough to overcome the mighty demons and evil entities on his way?
That is up to you to find out!

The fights in Apprentice Arriving are dynamic and they can get very tough, you can dodge, use Magic & Combos and fight with various sword types. Tactics can be more effective than pure force so you will see that running on the blunt will most likely not lead to success.

How does the new update differ from the previous version released in 2020?

To put it simple, literally in all aspects. The new version completely transforms the game which means there is pretty much nothing we have not touched and polished. We finally created the original planned Aclendi Woods with not only bumped up graphics and more straight forward level design. Eventhough this map is just the first level in the game it is already massive with a lot of areas to explore and secrets to unravel. At the moment you can play the first part of the level and before long we will unlock the next area that will offer many new challenges!

Every single feature has either been heavily improved, removed or replaced by one that fits much better to the game. But we have also added numerous features to make the overall gameplay way more fluent and most importantly, more fun! Long story short, Team Jewel Seeker invites you to experience the path of Apprentice Arriving that will be full of unforgettable moments. New Map Aclendi Woods
We finally created the original map Aclendi Woods! The first level in the game.

New Main Character Model
We created a completely new model of Landon with much better graphics, hair physics and dynamic motions.

New Combat System
A redesigned and polished Combat System with improved visual effects.

New Checkpoint System
From now on you can save your progress at a checkpoint which is called – The Mana Circle.
As the name already suggests you cannot only save the game but fully restore your mana, health, neutralize status effects etc. by stepping into the stone circle.

Equippable Armor Sets
We now have a system that allows you to equip single armor sets which will be: Helmet, Armor, Pants + Boots and Gloves.

NPCs and Quests
Our new quest system is very dynamic and therefore allows us to add quests to the game with ease. You can now talk to NPCs for accepting quests and for general conversations.

Sound Effects & Music
Next to adding a new Aclendi Woods level music we have added many high quality sound effects.

New enemy "Canerus" and Polished Textures
We have polished all enemy textures making them look more detailed and fearsome.

World Map + Minimap + Compass
We heard it often and we listened to your critique that our game needs a Minimap and so we created one. Additionally we have also added a Compass making it even easier to find your objectives.

Redesigned Head Up Dispay
A fully redesigned HUD has been created. You will have better control over your skills with gamepad and overall management with HP, MP and Potions will be much easier. You can now see directly how much HP and MP you have displayed as a number.

Reworked UI (serves as placeholder for the time being)
NOTE: As soon as our menu is completed we will remove the current placeholder.

Smarter AI
Our enemies are smarter and more dangerous: Some enemies will use nasty skills that can get you quite in trouble, some act in a different way if other enemy types are nearby and some will even support each other.

Better Voice Acting
We have new talented voice actors who are giving their best to tell the story.

New Looting System
A new looting system has been created that works quite well and stacks your items.
