Miksi Early Access?

Our goal is to do everything we can to provide you with a game living up to its fullest potential. That's why we want to include our community, so we can have an insight into what works, what doesn't, and what else we can do.

We have been working with our community for many years now! You could watch our game's growth through dev blogs, playtests, or festival demos. A lot was going on, and each time, your opinion was critical to us, strongly influencing the development of Celestial Empire. We want to keep it that way – thanks to Early Access, we will be able to understand your needs better!

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

Early Access is expected to last for about a year, but it really depends on how many things there are to add, improve, or change before we decide that the game is complete.

Of course, the end of Early Access doesn't mean the end of our work on the game! We will continue to work on it and develop it regularly.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

With all the basics covered, we will focus on adding new, exciting content, balancing mechanics, and polishing already existing features, with you guiding us on the right path. It is up to you whether it means adding new buildings, production chains, resources, mechanics, or narrative elements.

We will definitely want to achieve even more depth in city management – to challenge you with more difficult decisions in designing the street grid or building layout. Our goal is to achieve the state of the game, which offers many different strategies to play it so that each walkthrough can look somewhat distinct, and the player can try alternative approaches each time.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

In EA, you will get a fully playable version with the promised content of the game, meaning its core and everything described in the description. At this point, all tiers of the city are available. The game will include all language versions mentioned on our Steam store page. If there is a need to add any other language version or correct existing ones, we will surely work on that.

Muuttuuko pelin hinta Early Access -vaiheen jälkeen?

We plan to raise the price after Early Access. During Early Access, we will offer discounts occasionally so that all Early Access players can purchase the game at a lower price. By doing this, we want to repay you, at least to a small extent, for your help and faith in the project.

Miten yhteisö otetaan mukaan kehitysprosessiin?

We are going to keep in touch with our community and gather their feedback through our Discord and Steam forums! On top of that, we will keep reporting our progress on the game, updating you regularly like we did until now (dev blogs/patch notes). Also, feel free to ask us your questions directly on our Discord!

Some analytics will be added to the game (of course, these will be optional and can be turned off!) because our goal is to understand how you play our game. Thanks to this, we will be able to understand your problems, where the choke points are, where you want to give up or drop the game, and which elements actually work well. This way, we can have a better understanding of the current balance of the game or its difficulty for people unfamiliar with Celestial Empire. That data will allow us to adjust all parameters so that the game is both a challenge and a pleasure.

Players will have a huge influence on what we add after the Early Access release! Maybe your suggestions will involve some combat system, decrees, and laws in the city or new maps and biomes. Let us know No matter what you want so we can make your wishes come true!
