What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Jumping Jax has been in development for over a year, and is ready for community feedback. Jumping Jax is a community made game. It is completely open sourced and free to edit and update (with restrictions based on the code's license). We want to get more people on the team and more feedback to make it even more fun! We are deeply interested in where players are interested in seeing this game advance. We believe that by balancing the player feedback with the initial vision, we can achieve greatness.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We have no official release date, as the product is done in the free time of all of our contributors. As of right now, we are interested in integrating level building with the Steam Workshop to see what our players are interested in creating. We believe based upon feedback, we will get a more conclusive list of features that will make the game feel complete. If the team had to give a rough date, we would expect December 2021.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We are planning to add the following as of right now:
- a well documented and robust level editor
- complete integration with the Steam workshop for player generated content
- mod support
- tons of optimization
- global leaderboards for both player-made, and built-in levels.
- achievements
- absolutely massive graphics overhaul
- many more options for movement mechanics (grappling hooks, rocket jumping, gliders, etc)”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The early access is currently a playable state of the game with hotkey customization, and most of the mechanics are bug-free. The current version only has 25 levels, but we would like to see 50+. The current graphics of the game are prototype materials for testing, there is a whole new cyberpunk feel on its way! We would also like to see an overhaul of the level design, models, and UI.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game will remain as a free demo until the final release, in which case it will be $5”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Jumping Jax and the Caos Creations team heavily rely on community contribution and feedback. If you like the game, reach out to give feedback, or help us make the game better!

We have a very active Discord and GitHub community that can be found here:

About This Game

Jax is your teleporting cyborg corgi. A Cyborgi, if you will.

Jax wants to play. To him, that means teleporting around the city while you chase after him! You'll have to use interesting movement mechanics (bunny-hopping, portals, bounce-pads and more!) to bring Jax home before dinner.

Cyborgis still need their exercise - take Jax for a walk with the help of the Steam Workshop!
