What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I am a one-man development team doing everything from writing the engine from scratch in C99 to modeling all the 3D assets in Blender. Naturally, this project took just a *wee* bit longer than expected. Instead of Cyberpunk-ing you guys, I would rather be honest about the state of the project, flesh out all the content that I had planned at a slower pace, and use feedback from the community to correctly set my priorities.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Early Access will release at the end of January 2025. Following that, updates will come on a rolling basis based on community interest and feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The main goal at this point in development is just adding more content. I want to flesh out a complete and detailed single-player campaign with varied spells, unique quests, unforgettable locations and an epic story. Some more ambitions features like Steam Workshop integration for mod sharing, skirmish mode vs. AI, playable campaigns for the other factions and online play will be added if there is enough interest from the community to make the development costs viable.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“All the core mechanics are functioning and working without known issues. I’ve really prioritized a stable engine and a rock-solid foundation over rushing out more content. I’ve held off on releasing anything at all until I had a stable build that’s been scrutinized with a lot of testing. You can explore, build, gather, and battle without any major hiccups. The map editor and scripting API are in a good place. Essential but often forgotten features like game saving and graphics options are all there.

In terms of content, there is one playable faction (Slavs) with 15+ unique units and 10+ unique buildings. There are 5+ fully scripted campaign missions.

You can try the most recent build of the free demo to get a taste for the engine and get an accurate idea of what kind of experience awaits you with the full build.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I will bump the price 50-100% when I feel it is justified by the amount of content and polish that the game offers.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“First of all, I’m hungry to hear any and all feedback regarding the game. From bug reports, to balance issues, to just crazy ideas of things you’ve always wanted to see in RTS games, I’ll listen to everything. You can ping me in the game’s Discord or send me a personal e-mail (edward.permyakov@gmail.com). Hit me up and I’ll be honest about where I’m at with the project and what’s coming up next.

Secondly, I’ve already open-sourced the entire engine (GitHub). Between the engine and the Python scripts that you get with the release, you have access to 100% of the code. This grants the community all the tools to continue evolving it long after I’m gone. Moreover, I’m open to discussion of upstreaming fixes and feature implementations from any ambitions contributors.”
