Vivid Surf is my dream project for the movement mechanic glitch coined 'surf'. Now with a lower barrier to entry (while retaining its depth) using optional surf assists. Play at your own pace in a singleplayer focused campaign that rewards you as your skill improves.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The game is currently in very early development in terms of content but the core is currently functional. I am attempting to make a challenging campaign with a smooth difficulty ramp. Early access will also help me better understand a player's experience.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The goal is at most a year, but this may change due to many variables.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I plan to have around 100 levels, additional music, polish, and at least a few level-specific mechanics (such as a glider/gravity ability). As this is my first time developing a game solo I cannot guarantee the features I wish to add.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Functional core movement, 26 levels, auto strafing, auto ramping, unique strafe mechanics. Also basic online functionality for a soccer-inspired game mode.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I want to provide a proportionate deal during early access, and slowly increase the price as content gets added.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I will be analyzing how the public reacts to make sure I'm on the right track. Undoubtedly there are going to be many bugs and problems in the design that go under the radar. Feedback will be immensely appreciated on the vivid surf steam community pages, social platforms, and email.”
