Miksi Early Access?

We would like to get feedback from players about the story arc and gameplay to make it as enjoyable as possible. Also, the game needs to be tested with different devices and computers we might have not access to ourselves.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

The game comes out of Early Access roughly by October 2020.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

The biggest changes will be in the story-arc and tasks players will find during the adventure. The full version should also be compatible with more variety of devices. We are also considering having trading cards etc. for the final version.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

The game is in a working and playable state, with all locations available, but missing some of the tasks and developments in gameplay.

Yes. We plan to offer the game at a reduced price during Early Access.

We plan on doing streams of the game and polls that let the community be involved with the direction of gameplay. For feedback, you can chat with us on Twitch (see the additional links section).

I live on Hamari Island, today I spent my time on sandy dunes, eating figs and dates. Winters are beautiful here and full of life. Summers bring harsh storms, but I take cover in a cave with my flock and the storms pass. So, life was good, but recently there have been shining eyes in the night and noises I’ve never heard before. What are they? Could you become one of us and help me to find out what they are?

Dodo Adventures is a VR adventure game that can be played with Valve Index, HTC Vive devices, Oculus Rift and Oculus Rift S headsets. The game is a story-based, single-player and currently under development. You can choose to solve tasks or take a meditative trip to a lost paradise. Forget your To-do list and escape to Dodo Hamari Island!

The game aims to bring awareness to the impacts of human behavior. The project has received funding from AVEK – The Promotion Centre for Audiovisual Culture in Finland, which has been awarded toward preparing a digital demo for the first game in the series.
