Varför Early Access?

“Early Access is a great opportunity to improve Starseed and guide and steer development. It gives Heartsynth (that’s us, the dev) a chance to interact with fans and really grasp what they think is most important without derailing our vision for Starseed. Other factors include: help with testing and polishing. And using revenue gained from sales to further development (hiring contractors, commissioning works, buying software, etc)”

Ungefär hur länge kommer det här spelet att vara i Early Access?

“The current idea is that development will continue beyond a year. It may extend further depending on feedback. We could also see further updates after the full release but that all comes down to feedback and amount of interest in the game.”

Hur är det tänkt att den fullständiga versionen ska skilja sig från versionen i Early Access?

“The Early Access version is mostly based around the game mechanics and the freeplay/sandbox features. The Early Access version will be a lot about developing the mechanics and testing them. Changing them as needed and working on balancing and scaling. The full release will be much more polished and streamlined!

Depending on feedback and amount of interest in the game, there could be plans for post full release content. But please don’t purchase expecting this.”

Hur är det nuvarande läget i versionen med Early Access?

“The current version is based around the freeplay/sandbox. There are areas to explore and you have your base hub to customize. There are resources to collect and things to craft. More content is being added with each update.

Update
As of August 2025 we have had multiple small updates and a few bigger ones. There are new items, resources, machines, features and areas (lots of resources, new laser cutter, forests, lava area, etc ). These include updates which were originally planned and suggestions from players. So the Early Access has really been helpful!

“The game will be cheaper during Early Access as both a thank you to customers for early support and to represent the lack of content.”

Hur planerar ni att involvera gemenskapen i er utvecklingsprocess?

“We will mainly use Steam updates, news and forums as ways to communicate with players. With our Social media taking a lower priority. It’s difficult to focus on development and communication in an indie scope, but we will continue to keep players updated and respond to feedback. We want players to feel that they are a valued member of this community!”
