Hvorfor tidlig tilgang?

«Early Access is a great opportunity to improve Starseed and guide and steer development. It gives Heartsynth (that’s us, the dev) a chance to interact with fans and really grasp what they think is most important without derailing our vision for Starseed. Other factors include: help with testing and polishing. And using revenue gained from sales to further development (hiring contractors, commissioning works, buying software, etc)»

Hvor lenge antas det at dette spillet vil være i tidlig tilgang?

«The current idea is about 12 months. But it could be more or less depending on feedback. We could also see further updates after the full release but that all comes down to feedback and amount of interest in the game.»

Hvordan er det planlagt at fullversjonen skal være forskjellig fra versjonen i tidlig tilgang?

«The Early Access version is mostly based around the game mechanics and the freeplay/sandbox features. The Early Access version will be a lot about developing the mechanics and testing them. Changing them as needed and working on balancing and scaling. Obviously the full release will be much more polished and streamlined.

Depending on feedback and amount of interest in the game, there could be plans for post full release content. But please don’t purchase expecting this.»

Hva er nåværende tilstand for versjonen i tidlig tilgang?

«The current version is based around the freeplay/sandbox. There are lands to explore and you have your base hub to customize. There are resources to collect and things to craft. More content is being added with each update.»

Vil spillet være priset annerledes under og etter tidlig tilgang?

«The game will be cheaper during Early Access as both a thank you to customers for early support and to represent the lack of content.»

Hvordan planlegger dere å involvere samfunnet i utviklingsprosessen?

«We will use our social media and the Steam Forums as ways to communicate with players. It’s difficult to focus on development and communication in an indie scope, but we will continue to keep players updated and respond to feedback. We want players to feel that they are a valued member of this community!»

Om spillet


Starseed aims to twist the peaceful, calming farm sim archetype. "A farm sim with dark undertones and an isolated atmosphere" - would be a fitting description.

It is still, in sense, a peaceful sim without combat, but this time there's no relationships to build, your interactions are with your helper robots and with mission control back on Earth. You are millions of miles from the people you're trying to save.

Explore:

 Explore and discover the many features of different planets. It's your job to harness those features and traits to your advantage.

Research:

 Discover and research the minerals and many features of the planets. Grow crops more efficiently or focus on mining or production.

Craft:

 Craft machines and tools to aid you in your research and production. Manage machine networks and send resources back to home base.


Robots:

 Build robots to aid in your work and production.

Manage:

 Manage your base to produce a steady output of resources. Fulfill orders and trade. Be self sufficient, machines need power to run!

Customization:

 Unique planets, unique astronauts. Choose carefully and upgrade each astronaut differently to suit your goals.


Procedural Side Missions:

 A mix of unique handcrafted missions and procedural missions with various rewards to help you progress!

Procedural Generation:

 Each playthrough is unique. With each playthrough: The cave systems and mines are different. The random events and side missions will be different. The planets and astronauts are different. Allowing for endless replayability!
