What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Sand to Surf features a mix of genres. It's not quite a snowboarding game, and it's not quite an action-adventure game. To hone in on the best mixture of both and tune the systems we've developed, we feel it is crucial to get community input before polishing up the experience and releasing it.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Approximately one month.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full game will feature an open hub and three major courses before the climactic finale. The Early Access focuses on the tutorial section and the first of these courses.

While the rest of the courses are accessible, they still require polish. If you choose the be the brave who venture beyond the beaten path, expect thrills and bugs in equal measure; and don't be surprised if the ground just seems to disappear from underneath you.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version of the game has a complete tutorial, the beginnings of the hub world, and a complete first course. The rest of the world is accessible, but unpolished. Explore Tassili at your own peril.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No, this game will remain free.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will be crucial as we refine the experience in terms of player expectations, control scheme, and game feel. Any feedback can be submitted through the feedback button in the pause menu or using our online form at:”

About This Game

Tassili, the cradle of mankind, and the powerful deity that resides there have been corrupted by a viscous blight. Mankind can no longer survive without the deity's life-giving energy. As the lone sand-surfer, brave the dangerous sands of the ancient desert to save the world from the blight.

Sand to Surf blends the tight traversal experience of extreme sports games with the engrossing exploration experience of adventure games. Reading the landscape will be critical as you navigate pathways, avoid the blight's attacks, perform tricks, and collect energy to keep your sand board powered.

Key Features

  • An engaging sand-surfing experience, which takes boarding beyond strictly downhill courses.
  • A large and beautiful desert hub world to surf which branches into tighter, more linear challenges.
  • Use the slopes of the landscape, your sandboard's boost capability, and special objects in the environment to increase and maintain your speed.
  • Fantastic creatures to encounter.

System Requirements

    • OS: Windows 7+
    • Storage: 3 GB available space
    • Memory: 16 GB RAM
