“We built The Gold River Project to evolve with players. Early Access lets us gather real feedback on performance, balance, and content while continuing to expand the world. We want players to experience the game early, share their discoveries, and help shape what comes next.

“We expect The Gold River Project to remain in Early Access for 12–18 months. Our focus is quality over speed; building each season, system, and biome to the standard players deserve. The game will leave Early Access when all planned seasons, storylines, and major gameplay systems are complete.

“Yes. The price will increase after Early Access as new content and features are added.

DEMO INFO

The Demo offers a limited amount of playtime set in the Summer season, where each playthrough is unique. It’s a safe and welcoming environment to get familiar with the world and its systems. We’ll continue updating the demo with fixes and optimizations ahead of Early Access.

Early Access will introduce new seasons, expanded content, additional threats, unique challenges, and most importantly, unlimited playtime.

If your system can run the Demo, you can run the Early Access version.

CAMP SOLO OR WITH FRIENDS

Welcome to Gold River! A remote camping adventure you can do alone or with friends. A chartered float plane will drop you off by beautiful lakes where you can kayak, hike the gorgeous trails, make camp and fall asleep counting the stars.

TRIP BECOMES A TRAP

One week turns into several as you suspect your guide is never coming back. Deserted, you discover you are trapped and now an unwilling lab rat. Can you survive an ever changing, artificial environment and it's inhabitants?

WE ARE MOTHER NATURE

Find a way through increasingly harsh environments, adapt to their unique challenges, and out smart your captors to survival and find a way out.

FEATURES

  • Multiplayer: Survive by yourself or with friends in online co-op!

  • Crafting: Build survival equipment, weapons, farm plots and more to help you stay alive!

  • Research: Learn new things to craft from items you find or from trade.

  • Build: Expand your campsite to prepare for what's to come.

  • Scavenge: All items are all useful, it's up to you to figure it out how.

  • Puzzles, Stealth or Discovery: There is more than one way out.

  • Progress: Play at your own pace. No time restrictions.

  • Replayability: Substations, supplies and points of interest  - these locations change with each new play through.
