Varför Early Access?

“Starkheim Tournament is a passion project of a very small team of hobbyist developers. Our goal is to create a fighting game enjoyable by all kind of gamers, and feedback from gamers is invaluable to polish the game for the best experience - and this is why we want to let you play the game as soon as possible.”

Ungefär hur länge kommer det här spelet att vara i Early Access?

“We want to constantly update the game untill the version 1.0 where we will consider the game as fully released. Our initial aim is to release the version 1.0 roughly at half point of 2025 (between May and June).”

Hur är det tänkt att den fullständiga versionen ska skilja sig från versionen i Early Access?

“We are planning to add up to about 14-15 fighters and 8-9 stages. Functional network multiplayer and singleplayer modes are also planned. However, after reaching this goal, we would like to update the game with additional characters and stages.”

Hur är det nuvarande läget i versionen med Early Access?

“Early access starts with 4 characters and 3 stages. Multiplayer versus is limited to Steam RemotePlay, and AI player is not functional - for the best experience, a second player is required.”

“For duration of early access, the game will be available for portion of the planned full release price, which will be set after 1.0 version releases.”

“We've set up a Discord server - Project MOX chat - where players can interact with creators of Starkheim, report bugs and drop suggestions and ideas. We believe such feedback will help us perfect the game and understand players better.

Starkheim Tournament is a 2D fighting game, set in fantasy universe with a pixel-art style. Utilizing simpler control scheme than traditional fighting games, the game allows everyone to perform big combo chains, with uniqueness of each character each playstyle is different, and hidden mechanics ensure gameplay complexity that will keep you on your guard during a fight.

The future is a blank slate

Prophecy speaks of a return of a calamity, a harbinger of discord long ago stopped by a powerful warrior who left no legacy or any trace of his life. With no clue on how to prevent the disaster, Starkheim and its people desperately seek to appoint a champion capable of restraining its source. Perhaps among the recent events that took place around the lands, conflicts that broke out and newly formed alliances, a worthy candidate will be unearthed.

It doesn't take much to be a warrior

With only two primary attack buttons, and controls that do not require any complicated motions, Starkheim Tournament aims to be easy to pick up and only just moderate to master. Each character, despite differences is playstyle, follow the same principles, making it easier to pick between different fighters.

Be yourself on the arena

Pick from cast of 12 characters, from a nimble pirate queen, brave paladin, unshaken viking hero, to a madness driven black knight, nightmarish alien entity, and even a weapon summoning angel of war. Each character comes with a distinctive fighting style, strengths, weaknesses, and unique quirks, and each provides an unique playstyle.
