What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Now that the base engine of the game has been built out, we have the ability to add in a ton of fun mini game content. While this is all being created, having player actively go through the content and give feedback will provide a much better end product. We are looking for as much user engagement and response as possible about where the fun is in the game. The development will focus in a ratio of 90/10 on player ideas vs dev ideas.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“To get to the full v 1.0 of the game will take about six months to a year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of the game will have a large compliment of mini-games the players can select from. These games each having scoring mechanisms that travel through the entire game experience. Each rounds points building on the last, with semi-permanent upgrades following between mini games. Think of other popular party type games, but you get to customize your character as you play through it.

Easy co-op gaming with your friend in private lobbies or joining people you have not met for some low stakes mini-game fun. The end goal is to even have large 30-40 player lobbies with huge multiplayer mini game experiences. Recreating classic summer camp style (open grass field) games like capture the flag and the like.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently the game supports one large group mini-game: Goblin tag. It is very fun to play with 6+ people, and gains huge levels of excitement as more people join. There are five maps in total.

We also have just under 10 speed run maps that unlock cosmetics for the multiplayer game modes. These are tracked and displayed on our discord for people to compete against.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game will be priced much lower at the start of early access. As more and more mini-games are added, the price will raise.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We have have dedicated discord channel for feedback and group chat. Feedback in regards to feature requests, mini-game suggestions, bugs and everything else is handled through there at the moment. We would like to create a robust Steam community page as well to pull feedback from.”

About This Game

Goblin Tag: Try to escape into the Goblin Warrens without being caught. Completing each round gives you a choice in upgrades for your runner. Allowing you to be faster, smaller, jump higher or drop deployables. Those who are too slow and are tagged join the opposite team. They now help take down any survivors using whatever upgrades they have already attained.

Single player speed run challenges
These are tests of skill and precision that allow you to unlock cosmetic upgrades for your goblin and most importantly, bragging rights. Times are recorded in game and are shown off in the discord for the top runner.

All the power-ups you gain are multiplicative and last throughout the game. Each mini game has it own reward factor that allows you to add another upgrade to your stack! If you decided to be a full throttle speed goblin you will really feel the power as you apply more and more of the same upgrade. Like to jump? Be like a flea! Stack hopping powers to bound over obstacles and go where no rival goblin can follow you.
