“Making game development software is not an easy job. In fact, it's exactly the opposite: a highly demanding task that requires many diverse skills. Creatry was designed as a very simple and niche tool; however, it gained a lot of traction and proved to be a very promising project with high potential. This potential can be fulfilled only with an active participation of the game development community that will influence Creatry development, meaning that Early Access is the right decision.”

Hvor lang tid vil denne software være i tidlig adgang?

“It's hard to tell as there is not enough information on how fast planned features can be implemented. More accurate details on the approximate release date may be added after the first two or three updates come out and the update schedule is determined.”

Hvorledes kommer den fulde version til at være anderledes end produktet i tidlig adgang?

“When you are developing a video game there is always room for improvement. It's quite obvious that the same rule applies to game creation software: you can never really say that the development is finished once and for all. There will always be a demand for new features and additions.

Even so, Creatry is not going to stay in Early Access until the end of time. Full version will be released after the main goals of the development are achieved. That will happen when Creatry becomes a stable and polished platform for beginners, where they can easily get started in game development — create and publish their own first game.

The second goal is to give Creatry users a way to supplement functionality of the app. It's currently uncertain whether it would be a support for third-party extensions or built-in scripting language. The final decision will be based on community feedback.

Furthermore, full version will include new content that Early Access releases currently lacks. For example: new object tags, components, settings that will help customize created games and implementation of the most requested features that are suitable with Creatry. Editor and Hub will also be updated.”

Hvad er den nuværende tilstand for versionen med tidlig adgang?

“Currently Creatry is a minimalistic tool and offers only basic functionality, although it has got a very solid base for future updates. You can use 5 customizable components: Player, Ground, Image, Enemy and Coin to build a simple platformer game. Early Access version might include bugs or other unresolved issues that we actively fix.”

Er prisen på softwaren anderledes under og efter tidlig adgang?

“The price will be eventually increased to reflect addition of new features and other major improvements; however, the monetization model will stay the same. There are no plans to introduce paid subscriptions, updates or other hidden costs. Buy Creatry once and use it as long as you like, even with brand new features!”

Hvordan har I tænkt jer at involvere fællesskabet i jeres udviklingsproces?

“Creatry Community will be involved in development of the app through Community Forums, where it's possible to submit feature requests and bug reports. Alternatively, feedback can be sent directly through the support page.”
