Why Early Access?

“Early Access has been very helpful to us in the past. We have utilized the platform and its ability to reach the community to help us create and launch fully playable games. We want to make sure to get as much feedback as we can on all the intricate mechanics so we will have the best chance to create a cohesive experience.

We are a small indie team of only 2 developers working on FFTA in our spare time. We plan to include the community in the decision making process to help us flesh out more detailed mechanics.

There is no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow for us. We aren't here to turn a quick profit off of asset flipping, loot boxing, achievement spamming, microtransactioning-ing, or any other modern day form of video game debauchery. We are gamers at heart, and we do this because we love games. The satisfaction of actually completing, polishing and watching others enjoy our game is more then enough compensation for the work involved.

We hope to discover and refine as many interesting systems, mechanics and artwork as we can come up with through Early Access.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We estimate it shouldn't take any longer then 6-12 months to fully polish the project.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The final game should include many new features, mechanics and design elements to fully flesh out the experience. These may include but aren't limited too: New characters, new weapons, new abilities, new perks, new maps, new modes.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current build is heavily bugged, with many issues spanning many areas. Very few features, broken textures, glitches, broken GUI buttons, game breaking crashes. It is still a very early access game that will require a lot of work to complete.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The pricetag for FFTA will never change, so you can expect to pay the same price for Early Access as you would at final launch. Any and all future DLC will be released free of charge, and we will never implement any kind of micro transactions, loot-boxes, or any other devious form of monetization.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

About This Game

Inspired by games like Smash TV and UBERMOSH, FFTA aims to give players the freedom to wreak havok at a balanced rate while providing an ever increasing level of difficulty the longer you play. You will be tested by learning attack patterns and adapting to changing combat conditions.

  • Fight alongside your trusty K-9, hot-swapping between both characters at will.
  • 9 Different Weapons: available from the very start include a bow, a shotgun, assault rifle, sniper rifle and even a flamethrower.
  • Day/Night Cycles: randomly generate set pieces each time you sleep at night, making every day a new experience.
  • Paint the ground fluorescent with the blood of a thousand dead monsters.
  • 8+ Different Enemy Types: with their own unique attack patterns. including Zombies, Robots, and Sea Serpents.
  • Explosions! Chain together explosions and use them strategically to turn the tides.
  • Command your loyal pet to sit, stay, speak, attack and even play dead.
  • 14 Different Upgrades: Alter your run with different perks. Slow down time to increase reaction speed or just get out of a bad situation.
  • Manage and protect your campsite using bear-traps, barricades and a well trained K9.
