What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“My goals for this game include a full campaign with voice-acted story, at least two dozen unique demons, lots of extra playable levels for added variety, more unlockable player items and more secret areas / easter eggs to be found.

I'm also planning on using Early Access to garnish more feedback from players and make changes to the game accordingly. I want to make the best game I possibly can and Early Access will allow me to continue to work on my product, receive feedback, and see it through to completion.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Approximately three point five years, plus or minus one point five years. This is an ambitious project with only one part-time developer working on it and it will stay in EA until its ready for full release.

The early access launch date is when most of the basic features for the game are functional, but I'll be adding lots more demons and levels and secret areas and probably items and definitely voice acting and content too over the coming years.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of the game will increase the following quantities:
Playable levels (current 1, desired 20+)
Demons in the game (current 8, desired 30+)
Secret areas, hidden things, Easter eggs, types of enemies, voice acting and dialogue, etc.

And more polish, less bugs.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Early Access is set to release Sep 1st 2020 and is currently being worked on and improved every single day by 100% of the employees at Bad Cop Worse Cop Studios. Majority of the features listed in the "About This" section are already implemented and most of what still needs doing are content creation and level building.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. The price of the final version of the game will most likely be double that of Early Access”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Watch me build this game live every night on Twitch, if you're interested! 7:30 to 10:30pm MST at https://twitch.tv/user335

Or join the Discord at https://discord.gg/aH335JB”

About This Game

A first-person real-time strategy game about summoning demons and conquering the entire known world. Learn your jailor's story by re-living his glory days and gain his trust faster by embellishing the details if you wish.

Some demons are stealthy; others, not so much. Summon a small army, manage them well and control the flow of information across the battlefield to catch keeps and castles unawares or poorly defended. Or, summon a large army and worry mostly about their needs as you march them from battle to battle.

The spread of information across the battlefield affects gameplay in many ways. People start out peaceful until they see demons or get warned about them, and each map has at least one Keep or Castle that will begin organizing defenses and try to warn everyone once it believes there is a genuine threat. Also, when keeps launch attack squads to seek your demons out they will operate based on information received from witnesses that you let escape. This allows hit and run tactics to feel more realistic than in most games.

This is also a simulator game. Demons will do whatever they want to do depending on their mood, but they can only rest while in the presence of the one who summoned them. So, where you lead they will eventually follow. Demons are happiest when their bellies are full, their bodies are rested, and it hasn't been too long since their last combat. Let them become angry and suffer the consequences.

Made by a single disabled Army veteran in Unity over the course of 3.4+ years and 23,000+ listens of the song Eye of the Tiger by Survivor as of November 2019

Scheduled for Early Access release September 1, 2020
