“We expect Early Access to last for about a year, but we’ll keep you updated through a public roadmap and through our Patreon.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of ISH will contain more content and be polished. Content means more stuff to discover and more challenges to conquer. Polish means cleaner UI, better audio, no placeholder art, and (hopefully) a smoother gameplay experience.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“In Search of a Home is launching with its core game loop complete - you'll be able to play multiple runs where you'll draft a fleet of ships, explore the galaxy, and hopefully find a home! Most of the art assets are placeholder. While the core game loop is complete, it is content light: a small number of ship options, installations, planets, events, and captain powers. We plan to make large content updates (new abilities, systems, ships, etc) to the game on a bi-weekly cadence. Expect hilarious and sometimes frustrating bugs.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to raise the price when we leave Early Access.”
