What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want to hear from you the player. As you'll see the game concept in You Complete Me is very extensible and we're going to extend it! The sooner you play, the sooner we can add what you want. We have lots of ideas of our own of course and we'll share them with you. We may even let you vote on them :) .”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Approximately one year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“You Complete Me contains a number of different types of mini-game that test different skills such as reaction time, hand-eye co-ordination, puzzle solving, stamina. There are lots of different instances of each type of mini-game in the main game. The full version will have more mini-game types, a new kind of multi-player mode where you can ask your buddies for help and possibly even more islands.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“You Complete Me currently provides 5-6 hours of gameplay. There are eight islands in the initial archipelago with a total of 75 mini-games, 25 of each type. The game is fully playable and can be completed. It may have the odd bug or two (these should not be game-breaking but please tell us about any you find).”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price of You Complete Me will increase when the Early Access phase ends in line with the amount of additional content.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Please join us on our You Complete Me journey and help Us Complete It (see what we did there). Follow our progress and chat with us on Twitter, Facebook, and the UCM Blog.”

About This Game

Dexterity, tenacity and brainpower. You'll need all of these and more to succeed in this completionist quest to awaken an ancient island. The world is becoming overpopulated. As you venture across oceans in search of new land you pick up a strange radio signal. Is it a voice? Is it asking for help?

Set 15 years in the future you set out across the vast oceans laden with the latest tech in search of recent underwater volcanic eruptions and the formation of new islands. While at sea you tune in to a strange radio signal. It sounds like a voice. It sounds like someone asking for help. When you arrive at the source of the signal it turns out to be an archipelago of islands not charted on any map or geo database that you have access to. The radio signal is stronger and louder now.

Features

Fly your drone out to the islands and investigate. Discover an ancient lore and the challenges that have lay dormant for so very long. They are many, your skills will be tested, you will be rewarded, but ALL must be completed in order to succeed.

  • Fly a drone!
  • Complete over seventy different, procedurally generated mini-games in order to release reward crystals
  • Three different types of mini-game that test reaction time, logical thinking and stamina
  • Eight islands to explore and energise

In the logical thinking mini-game use conveyor belts, splitters, color changers and shape changers to satisfy the end goal.

In the stamina mini-game use different coloured lightning arcs to destroy a mountain of energy blocks.

In the reaction time mini-game slide a caged crystal across a chasm on pillars that raise and lower with increasing speed.

When a mini-game is complete you must pilot your drone to the reward crystal and using the drone's winch pick it up and deliver it to the island's power core.
