What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“To get feedback from users on the best ways to improve the game! This is our first time releasing a game and we're just a small team of two people so any and all feedback is invaluable to us!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Hard to say, we're looking forward to getting feedback from actual players to see what should change and what we should improve on. We have some ideas for extra content, but all of that will take time.

Our current aim is to be finished before Winter 2020.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“More props, finalized art, and finalized controls. And hopefully bug free :)

We also have some additional features/mini-games/exploration ideas we intend to implement.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Use Santa's magical prop table to select various props to create a snowman. Choose from four different tabs, face props, accessories, hat props, and arm/hand props. Each tab has a minimum of 10 different props to choose from, with more coming in future updates.

Santa's default decorator tool will be your bread and butter for spawning props off the prop table, moving them where you want, and interacting with the prop table, save table, record player, and snow-globes!

You can also use Santa's manipulator tool to scale props in size both up and down, clone, and delete props when things are getting a bit cluttered (tossing props into the fire pit is also a visually pleasing way to get rid of unwanted props)!

Generate snowballs with Santa's snowball generator tool - three different base sizes to choose from. These can also be scaled in size, cloned, deleted and you can even dye them a specific color with...

Santa's paint tool! With this, your snowman is your canvas. It has a magic color palette with a wide range of colors, brush sizes, and both hard and soft brushes to choose from. This tool can also be used to change color on specific props, and dye generated snowballs.

Teleport around our wonderful environment using the teleport tool - You can even spin in place!

Use the record player to pause music if you'd like a more quiet snowman building experience, or skip through over 20 different songs created just for this game!

When you're ready to save your creation, the snow-globe generator table will take your well crafted snowman, and shrink it down to fit inside a snow-globe. These snow-globes will save your snowman to a specific slot in your currently selected profile. There are three profiles built into the game, and each profile has 10 slots for saved snowmen for a total of 30. Your saved snowmen will appear on a shelf inside your cabin. You can revisit a previously saved snowman by picking it up off the shelf, and putting it into the portal.

We feel it's in a pretty solid state - with the exception of a few bugs we still need to work out. We know there are also bugs we haven't encountered yet, and well track those down and squash them as they come up. For now, it's playable and we think, enjoyable.

Over the course of early access we'll push updates for better art in some areas, new art, tighter controls and some additional other content. The main priority for early access is going to be bug fixes, and more props. Once we're happy with those, we have plans to expand on story and mini-games/experiences. We want to open up more areas for fun and exploration, but we're trying not to get too ahead of ourselves and focus on making the core experience as enjoyable as possible.

We know early access can be risky on the player, but we sincerely hope you can enjoy the game as it currently stands.

(One big bug that is first on my fix list is the snowman paint feature. There's been some wonky things happening when you go to save and re-load already painted snowmen.)”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Price will increase after early access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Reading and responding to community feedback! We'll try to read all feedback we can, discuss our best course of action, plan and execute accordingly.

We'll try to update our website "GreetingsFromKrampus.com" as often as we can with things we're working on. We also have a discord channel I would encourage anyone to join as that will be the most direct and quickest way to reach us. The link for that is also on our website at the bottom of the front page.”
