«We have a vision for the game and how it could evolve over time, but we want to work with you - the players - to make that happen. That’s why we’re releasing into Early Access with a very early version of Adventure in Aellion, which offers up a few dungeons, a small section of the game’s planned open-world, and various opportunities to add and improve content and features.

This release shouldn’t be considered representative of the quality we’re aiming for, but rather a taster of what’s to come - and an opportunity to help us shape the future of Aellion over the next couple of years!»

Hvor lenge antas det at dette spillet vil være i tidlig tilgang?

«Adventure in Aellion is an ambitious game and there is a long way to go before it’s finished. The version of Aellion launching on 26th August is still an alpha version of the game, with only a small percentage of the total planned content and plenty to polish up, so we expect to be in Early Access for at least a year or two after that.»

Hvordan er det planlagt at fullversjonen skal være forskjellig fra versjonen i tidlig tilgang?

«The full version of Aellion will be much bigger, fuller, and more polished than the current Early Access version. The current version offers up a couple of hours of gameplay in a small section of Aellion’s world. Over the next couple of years, we’ll be making this world ever bigger, adding various quests, dungeons, story content, and additional features and functionality based on your input.

We’ll also be polishing up a wide range of aspects of the title - squashing bugs, improving the artwork, making new engaging puzzles, and more besides. Ultimately, we want to build toward a huge world filled with exciting adventures, a vast landscape with enough content to provide a lasting experience.»

Hva er nåværende tilstand for versjonen i tidlig tilgang?

«The emphasis is on ‘early’ - we wanted to get players into the game as soon as possible and start asking for your feedback. The initial release includes a brief tutorial section, a small taster of the game’s open world, and two story dungeons.

We’ll also have a number of character customization options, as well as equipment, puzzles, hand-to-hand combat, and items to play with. But you shouldn’t expect it to be polished to the final level of quality we’re aiming for, and we expect that lots of what’s currently on offer will change before the final, V1 release.»

Vil spillet være priset annerledes under og etter tidlig tilgang?

«Originally we had planned to keep the price the same throughout Early Access, but it became clear that the game would evolve significantly during its Early Access phase.

As such, we’ve decided to start with a very low price as a ‘thank you’ to players for joining us early on in the process, and we’ll be incrementally increasing the price as major new updates are added, up to an expected $25 / £20 final price in a year or two’s time.»

Hvordan planlegger dere å involvere samfunnet i utviklingsprosessen?

«Although we do have an overall vision for the game, our goal has always been to work alongside the community to make Adventure in Aellion as good as it can be. This is why we’re releasing an early alpha version of the game into Early Access - to find out how you would like to shape the game going forward!

You might have ideas about new features or functionality; you might wish the combat worked slightly differently; you might think there are some missed opportunities in puzzle design, or have an idea for how to make the game world more visually appealing.
