What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Early Access allows our team to get quick and quality feedback from the community and craft the game that you want to play. We are doing this primarily through the game discord https://discord.gg/rrNaEN4. We plan to communicate regularly on the discord telling you about the latest updates and more importantly hearing your feedback on how we can improve the gameplay experience. Communication about bug fixes, design feedback, and new ideas for the game will all be handled through the community, giving you some real feeling of ownership as the game is improved and developed.

There is a ton of content and features we still want to add to Aerial Raver, and with your help we can take those ideas from a concept to a fully fleshed out game feature that plays great. This can only be done by getting the game in your hands early and hearing what you like, don’t like, and what you would like to see going forward.

We will be diligent about being transparent and communicating our progress as we continue development, and together we can make this a dope game that you can be proud of having a hand in creating.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our plan is to continue development in Early Access for around 12 months. This time will allow us to make sure the game is fully featured and more importantly plays great before a full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The road to 1.0 is separated into several streams:
Content - introducing new Missions, New Moves, and new customization items.
Player Feedback - making the gameplay easier to understand and making landing combos feel awesome.
Online Features - Adding the ability to record and share combos is going to add a huge exciting layer to the game.
Polish & Playability - Polishing the game to the highest quality and Introducing as many quality of life features as possible.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core feature set is fully playable with 30 Moves, 60 Missions across 3 Wak-Bots, a ton of upgradable abilities, and a core set of customization options. The game as it is will offer many hours of combo making fun.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We are still working on the exact pricing for the 1.0 release, but the Early Access release will be available at a significant discount no matter what that price ends up being.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community is going to have a core role in the dev process moving forward. I have a lot of ideas I think would be great for this game, but I know there are a ton of great ideas out there that I haven’t even thought of. So much of this game is about personal creativity and customization that getting player feedback on every element of the game is going to be key.

I also want to see the amazing combos you are able to create using the system! We’ll be regularly showcasing peoples creations and ideas, and those that offer something really special to the community will be recognized outside and inside the game!”
