What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Pecker is not yet fully grown, just like this project. There are still some ideas to implement, levels to expand and Pecker should learn even more skills. We would like to invite you as players to get actively involved by sharing your feedback and ideas with us. Visit our Discord server and share your suggestions with us! Here is the link: https://discord.gg/SZGcsNqpnR”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game will remain in Early Access status until the end of 2024, when it will be finished and released as "1.0". After that, however, there will be further (free) updates.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version offers you the opportunity to get an exclusive look behind the scenes by experiencing levels and features in their raw form. Your ideas and feedback are invaluable and will help to further develop and refine the game experience. The full version will provide a seamless and complete experience, allowing you to experience the story from start to finish.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version currently presents 11 playable levels with a variety of themes, some puzzles and a selection of enemies. The game is already optimized for use on the Steam deck, although further fine-tuning is still pending.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We are planning a price increase for the full version, which we consider appropriate as the game will then offer significant added value compared to the first Early Access version. This is also an indirect reward for our early supporters, who will benefit from a reduced price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We are happy to receive feedback (bugs, translation errors, ideas) via Discord:
https://discord.gg/SZGcsNqpnR
A roadmap with voting function will show you what we have planned: https://trello.com/b/rfTd0j1k/pecker-roadmap”
