Why Early Access?

“We have spent the past 12 months building the foundations of Smashpunks, while testing every aspect of it with our Patreon community. Early Access is the perfect way for us to continue expanding Smashpunks, collect vital feedback from players and grow the community.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our current plan will see Smashpunks in Early Access for at least a year. During that time we’ll be consistently expanding the content, mechanics and features while regularly playing with the community to make sure we’re on the right track. While the feedback we receive could result in changes to our plan, we are highly transparent developers and will always keep the community informed of changes and the reasons behind them.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We have big plans for Smashpunks and from the moment we launch into Early Access you will see us regularly adding new fighters, arenas and modes as we build up the game. There are also several big features we’re planning to include such as a progression system, robust matchmaking and many other elements that are necessary for a successful modern multiplayer game.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently there is a full roster of fighters, several arenas to battle on and a core, objective based gamemode that is all fully playable, optimized and ready to be built upon.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We are planning on raising the price of Smashpunks once we’ve exited Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Your feedback will be vital to help keep the game balanced. We’re looking forward to seeing how the community plays the game as we’re sure you’ll discover new strategies and playstyles that we never anticipated! We want to see how you play the Smashpunks and evolve the game to fit as many playstyles as possible without sacrificing the fun for anyone, so we’ll need your help to accomplish this.

We’d also like to know what new features and content you’d like us to add as it means we can dedicate resources to things you want to see. As a compact development team it’s important for us to focus only on the things we know players want, so the community will play a vital role in helping us to expand the game over time.”

About This Game

Smashpunks is a frenetic online multiplayer arena battler where players compete for glory in a dangerous underground vehicle combat sport. Take command of powerful melee machines and master a wide variety of abilities, powers, acrobatic and combat skills as you smash your way to victory!

Find your niche amongst a diverse roster of Smashbots and become a fearsome Smashpunk. Do you smash your foes, support your team, steal objectives or outsmart the enemy?

  • Battle online in chaotic 8 player matches and dominate a range of varied arenas set across a wild and exotic world

  • Frantic physics fighting - smash, bash, crash and pummel enemies while mastering the nuances of each Smashbot’s handling

  • Fight and survive alongside your friends in Smashflag, an intense gamemode where every step towards your goal must be hard fought

Roadmap

Our plan is to start testing Smashpunks using Steam Playtest, followed by launching onto Early Access. Throughout both periods we'll be regularly adding new content and features to the game!
