What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Warforged has been under development for over a year now, and I feel it is ready to be played. My goal is to create a challenging and engaging single-player game that is genuinely fun to play. To achieve this, I need feedback from players. Releasing Warforged in Early Access is the best way I can think of to do that.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Warforged will be in Early Access for no longer than one year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Most of the graphics will be reworked over the next year. At the top of the list is to add detail to textures.

Planned features:

-World Bosses

-Heroes : Troops who prove themselves on the battlefield will be upgraded to named heroes. You will be able to customize their stats and gear.

-Beast Mastery : Tame pets to help you in battle.

-Siege rework : Siege weapons with more in-depth sieges.

-More items : Legendary items. Faction specific armor.

-More fantasy creatures.

-Kingsguard System : Choose certain troops to stay by your side and protect you at all times.

-Necromancy : Magic skill to raise and command the dead. Possibly with 5th race "The Dead."”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Warforged is in a playable, but unpolished and rapidly changing state. Early Access players can expect content listed in the game description to be accessible, refer to the "About This Game" section for a list of features. Scheduled unreleased content will be listed separately.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes!

The price of Warforged will start small, then slowly rise as content is added and features are polished.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Player feedback will play a heavy role in development. I plan on being very reachable on the Warforged Steam Community page.”

April 12

*Updated* Warforged Price Change. Soon available for $9.99.

To anyone considering purchasing, please make sure to wait until the price has dropped from $14.99 to $9.99. The price change is currently pending approval from Steam.

After a week of community feedback, I have decided to drop the price of Warforged for the time being. I want players to feel they are getting a great value for their money. As new content is added and current content is polished, the price will most likely slowly rise throughout Early Access.

To everyone who already purchased the game, I am extremely thankful for the support and sincerely sorry for any amount overpaid. To everyone who has not yet logged 2 hours in-game, I strongly urge you to request a refund from Steam and purchase again for the lowered price.

Thanks everyone.

UPDATE:

Due to consumer protection laws, Steam does not allow a price change until 30 days have passed since launch. This means you can expect the lowered price to be available early in the first week of May.

Apologies for the delay.
