What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want to build the ultimate data center simulator together with the community.
Early Access allows us to figure out new systems and features day by day,
and grow the game while allowing players involved in the development.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We completed most of the features initially planned for the game since the early access release September 2025.
We eagerly wait for player feedback to consider a timeline for full release.
We estimate 6 months after getting enough player feedback and feature suggestions.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“All new server and rack models allowing modular configurations.
Dynamically rigging network cables between modular devices according to use cases and client load.
More depth in the Unix-like terminal with detailed executions of terminal commands.
Extra customization options for servers, racks, and warehouse environments.
More details and telemetry in admin dashboard and warehouse statistics.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Game is currently very stable and became much more fun with the new year upgrade.
We extensively test the game before each game update
and ensure that the game is always backwards compatible with older save files.

The Early Access version is fully playable and already includes:
A Unix-like OS and terminal system, allowing players to type and execute in-game commands.
A complete warehouse scene with multiple server prefabs, cooling unit and digital signage monitors.
Core progression loop where players expand their data center
by adding, configuring and managing servers and clients.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Game published as Early Access at a significant discount.
After many improvements and feature additions we doubled the game price at the end of Winter Sale 2025.
Players who joined us early and kept the game had the game with a significant discount
and will receive all future updates at no extra cost.
We consider another price increase after Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Players can play the game and share their thoughts and suggestions in game discussions.
We use Steam forums to prioritize development based on what players want most.”

About This Game

Step into the hidden world behind every video call, every online purchase, and every streaming service: the data center. In Cloud Server Simulator, you’ll take control of a growing warehouse packed with servers, racks, and networking hardware.

Build and initialize servers. Configure network settings. Respond to server errors. Communicate with client managers and negotiate offers for client contracts. Group your servers according to client types. Consider warehouse cooling for different kind of server configurations and loads. Regularly clean warehouse to maintain dust accumulation in servers minimal. Keep track of server maintenance and monitor their conditions.

Your warehouse is the heart of your operation. As your clients become more diverse, it's strategic to properly organize your servers for different kind of client types. Cooling units required for managed clients, so it's important to keep servers handling difficult client use cases close to the cooling units. When servers cannot be cooled enough or their fans pickup too much dust, they overheat and break down. You can repair servers at a cost after a break down and you lose all clients on the broken server.

Cloud Server Simulator isn’t about flashy explosions or endless micromanagement. It’s about the satisfaction of seeing your digital empire thrive. At the core of the simulation is a Unix-like terminal and file system that gives you direct control over your machines. From initial setup to server configurations, everything runs through a command-line interface specially designed for this simulator.
