I too love spongy non-boss enemies that don't stagger after multiple greatweapon strong attacks and force you to perfect-parry endless combos.

Even outside of this crap, the game's level design is pretty, but very boring, linear and uninspired.

This looks like a straight downgrade from the original game in every way, and I adored the original game, worshipped it.

Visuals are bland and uninspired in comparison to the original game, feeling way more repetitive and copy-pasted too. The first boss is a joke compared to the Sodden Knight, moveset is non-existent, you just push into the boss and occasionally press roll, and the boss does the same 2 attacks forever.

The interconnected world design is gone and has been replaced by some lazy excuse of a lore reason, and now you use a central hub and teleport to places of interest, because "Magic!".

Hopefully Uncle Tim Sweeney paid the developers enough for that Epic exclusivity preiod, because I'm refunding this and just going back to Salt & Sanctuary. Remember, kids, never meet your heroes. They will only let you down.

Baby's First Salt & Sanctuary. Seriously, though, the game is hard as balls, even on normal, almost to the point where it gets too tiresome to do the same fight half a dozen times. Don't get fooled by the cute art style, this is so difficult you'd be wondering if it's the difficulty, poor design, a skill issue or cheap enemies and AI just going berserk a lot of the time.

Despite all this, at a sale, this is a good pickup, if only for Doug Cockle / Geralt doing the frequent narration and for the truly wonderful, evocative artwork that gives this so much charm and character.

According to the 1.5 update trailer (which got me excited to buy with the 50% sale), the "likelihood of any game crash is now less than 1%".

That's very strange, because I crashed twice in about 90 minutes of playtime and had to refund it. I mean, if the game is still as crash-happy as ever, at least don't brag that your 30 updates addressed "all technical hiccups" in the trailer, because when you make me spend money with lies, all you get is a bad review and a refund.

Emulates Contra musically and visually, but falls very short in the gameplay department. Cheap, frustrating deaths, enemy spam, ridiculous boss designs.

This is everything I wanted Prey to be, but it wasn't. I never got much into System Shock 2, but this works fabulously for me. It's dense, it's intricate, it's oldschool in all the right ways while feeling sleek and modern in terms of UX. The audio and visual design are stellar, far batter than I expected from an AA studio and Teri Brosius is back voicing Shodan, what more could you ask for?

Hey, this is actually not bad at all now, six major patches later and discounted...

The visuals are pretty dated and bad, especially given the performance on some stages, but the actual driving physics and the way cars feel and handle is an improvement over DRally 2, where every car on gravel was just like sliding through mud and tarmac was a joke. It's not trying to be the most realistic simulation on earth, but it's pretty loaded on countries and stages at this point.

Definitely on the easier side of things, but above-average puzzles, and probably the only game of this type you can play on a timer and have fun and not just sweat and stress out.

Great value for money, 150 puzzles that are slightly on the easier side of things, but still very enjoyable and relaxing.

Getting all achievements in under 10 minutes was an... experience, but the artwork was sweet and the "game" was good fun!
