GameFly Digital wants to get you in on some Early Access games, including Kerbal Space Program. Amazon continues its January sale, adding Tomb Raider and Guild Wars 2 to its sale list. Green Man Gaming is offering free Rome: Total War with purchase of a select Sega game. Microsoft announced yet another channel in its ever-increasing line-up of Xbox apps today. The GoPro channel will launch on Xbox 360 this spring and subsequently on Xbox One in summer, offering curated video content captured by GoPro cameras.

Forza Motorsport 5 is getting another dose of cars next Tuesday, in the 'Smoking Tire Car Pack.' Named after the popular car enthusiast site, it costs $10 for 10 cars, nine of which need to be unlocked in-game after purchasing the pack.

American McGee's Spicy Horse has downsized its Shanghai studio due to the Akaneiro: Demon Hunters failing quite massively. McGee revealed that Spicy Horse has spent about $2 million in total making the free-to-play action-RPG, which first launched at the end of January 2013, but has only made back around $300,000.

EverQuest Next has been billed as Sony Online Entertainment's next-generation, fully destructible MMO, with EQN Landmark promising an in-game building experience unlike any other. To help usher in the Year of EverQuest, EQN Landmark's alpha will open its doors tonight to a number of devoted fans and creative minds. Shacknews was given the opportunity to try out the Landmark alpha and, while it has a number of technical issues, it shows a unique ambition with the potential to take MMORPGs to new heights.

Just as the early videos implied, Landmark's building tool proved user-friendly and easy to use. The bread and butter is in the add and delete tools, along with the selection tools. Players gather resources by picking away at just about anything in the world with their trusty pickaxe, gathering dirt, wood, metal, and other elements across different environments. In my time with the game, all players started off across a barren desert before branching out towards mountainous terrain and a vast forest region.

Microsoft has revealed the pair of games coming free to Xbox Live Gold members in February, namely action-tower defense Toy Soldiers: Cold War and Techland's FPS action-RPG Dead Island. They're a fair enough pair of games, but, well, February's PlayStation Plus lineup includes Metro: Last Light, Payday 2, and Outlast.

Ooh, aah, didn't it look pretty when all those little ships buzzed about and blew each other to pieces in the Star Swarm tech demo? Creator Oxide Games has, as promised, now released a downloadable real-time benchmark demo of the Nitrous engine showcase, so all and sundry can force thousands of people to die for their amusement and delight inside their very own computer box.
