What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We have many of the content we want to add in mind, but we need to make sure that we are taking the right steps towards our greater goal, so everything that comes after that is in the right direction. We need not only some new mechanics, but more content for the city also.

And we want to hear from you! Maybe there are some features missing that are key to your experience and we are able to deliver, or you find some rare or unexpected bug that needs to be fixed before the final version comes out.

Your help will allow us to create a much better game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“It will take months, as there are some ambitious features we want in. There are things that are tricky (game modes, mechanics), others just take time (new levels, enemies) or both (bosses!).

Before introducing something new, we will make our best trying not to hurt the existing experience.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“It depends on the reception from players, but here is a small summary of what we will be working on:
  • Achievements: certainly, we want them.
  • Day zero stories: include more "scenes" regarding the story behind the characters and the accident that happened.
  • Content: weapons, levels, skills and a new faction of enemies are in the backlog.
  • Complex mechanics: switching vehicles, for example.
  • Three Mutant Ministers: it's a surprise!
  • Player's level: playing more and more would add options to customize your character before playing. If you have played Warhammer Fantasy table top games, think of this as customizing your heroes spending points in magic items.
  • Game modes: a classic game mode where you play stage after stage till the end, instead of roaming around the city. Probably a 4 player battle arena could make it through, too.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Trespassers is half way through. We think that 60% of the content (although we want to include the content mentioned before) is already here.

We consider the basic gameplay closed, so no major changes in the mechanics are expected. There is just one game mode, both single and local multiplayer. There is one faction of enemies (zombie-like army) and some generic enemies, along with 4 bosses + final boss. You can find 7 different type of missions with varying difficulty, and the overall city level. Right now there are more than 10 weapon upgrades, more than 30 skills, 4 companions/servos/familiars, and we plan to increase those numbers during the Early Access.

We may build some new features on top of the existing base, as some close-combat characters that completely change the way you play, but we prefer being cautious and check that new features can be developed and fit the game.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“You would have heard that before: we plan to gradually raise the price as we ship new content and features. The final price during Early Access will be really close to the price of the final version. So, if the development stops at a certain point, we will not be making a big jump in the final version released. That's our compromise to ask for what we have done, not more.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community will be a valuable help in finding new bugs, testing content, and making suggestions from the experience of the player's point of view. As developers, there are things important for you that we may have missed, that's why we need your help.

Sure, not all of the suggestions will make it through, but we will consider all of them and give them proper time to think about the reasons that drove you to them. So, even if they are not directly transformed into something in the game, you are going to be contributing in some way!”

About This Game

~The nuclear apocalypse embodied by two idiots~

Trespassers is a fast paced shoot ’em up with some RPG flavour that let’s you enjoy that frantic button smashing vibe you are missing from the arcade machines. Best of all, bring your best friend (*) home and share the afternoon trying to defeat tons of enemies as you make your way to the very center of the city, where your fate (and maybe your missing TV sex symbol) awaits.

(*) Friend not included with the game

Varied gameplay

In Trespassers you will be playing different modes in a 2D-action game:

- Side view action-platforming: run, jump, shoot a lot, find your way through, kill the bosses, protect the beers, activate the bombs... Whatever it takes to get the job done!
- Top down view: drive the pickup shooting at enemies and buildings alike, roaming freely in the city while you try to get to the core, through the gates. Search for missions, stores, enemies and even secrets.

Upgrade your character

Level up and get new skills, and collect money to purchase upgrades for your weapons, and other items at the Andy's stores scattered across the city -if you find them.
