Why Early Access?

We are 5 guerilla developers who want to make a game that we all really love to play. With our current resources, we have managed to create a content that even most retail games don't have. But it's not finished yet! Voidrunner can be the first fully immersive 3D competitive game ever. We have lots of plans to develop into game such as new modes like Destroy the Base, City Battle, Voidspace Attack... Spectator modes, in-match experience system and heroic abilities are also in our near future plans.

We can hear you asking "So what about customizations?!" Yes! That is also in our Game Design Document, however, as we have stated, we are 5 people and we must be "more" people if we want to achieve everything. So we hope people like our game so we can have resources to expand our game universe more. Let's have some fun!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We are planning to be in Early Access until the end of 2017. First Quarter 2018 is our planned full release date with all the modes, features, additional ships and levels.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“First of all, we will not hide content as we move forward to final release. This game is made by gamers for gamers. But as we will progress to full release, these additions will see the light:


* Detailed Spectator Mode that you can switch to any opponent's camera, free look or zoom to a new action scene.
* In-Match Experience system will allow us to integrate Heroic Abilities so that when players gain enough levels during a match, their hero abilities will be available for more intense combat.
* Map Votes and Lobby is nearly a standard in games like this. So this feature is also in our to do list.
* Voice Chat and Standard Text Chat will be available in match for a more smooth communication experience.
* Matchmaking and Server system will be developed further for smoother playing experience and faster logins.


* Destroy the Base: On this mode there are two bases guarded by a shield. To win the match, you have to destroy your opponent's base. In order to down the shields, you have to destroy three power generators. When the shield is down, the base is guarded by turrets. So you have to make a careful strategy and act fast to win the round.

* City Battle: One team is attacker, other team is defender. There's a large city (like Minas Tirith of the Lord of the Rings). This is an objective based mode. As attackers, you have to destroy the outer shield of the city to get into it by destroying void energy canals that lead to shields. If you are great at flying and incredible high reflexes, you can try the ventilation shaft that leads into the city with exploding gasses, turbines. When the shield is down, you are inside the city. Then your Voidrunner Clan Mothership arrives and concentrate her weapons to main gate of the Energy Superstructure that powers the city. You have to protect your mothership until she destroys the gate. When it is destroyed, you have to go inside the superstructure, find the core and destroy it. With it's destruction, you win the round. If you escape from the explosion of the chain reaction, you get extra experience points.

As defenders, you try to prevent everything that attackers are doing. In addition to that, you can control city's powerful turrets by docking near them and use your Kamikaze mode in the second objective to give heavy damage to attacker's Mothership.

- Voidspace Attack: This is also an objective based mode. Here you are in Voidspace. It's like the Void equivelent of Hyperspace. In a foiled space&time and extremely high speed, you locked on to another Voidrunner Clan's Mothership during Voidspace Travel. You attack them with all your strength. The primary objective here is to destroy the opponent team's Mothership. You must disable the shields, weapons and engines to achieve your goal. You can attack from outside or dive into the inner chambers of the Mothership, that's your choice. As defenders, you have to prevent it.


New ships will be available as we progress in the Early Access. Our planned ship number for Final Release is 30 ships with 2 standard and 1 heroic, total 3 abilities each.


Originally we have planned a customization system that you can change your ship's skins, colors, weapons' colors and also type of effects. But our planned customization system also gives you the ability to change your ship's shape by changing the wings, weapons and some detail models so you can make more customizations. We want to customize cockpits also by integrating lighting and color customizations as well inserting custom decals.


We hope to make our soundtrack better by having Alexander Brandon and Michiel Van Den Bos (composers of original Unreal Tournament and Deus Ex) to make more music for us as we will get bigger in the content along the way.


Voidrunner is part of an incredibly big universe we have created for a major motion picture project 6 years ago. Originally we planned to make a great story based mode but due to a non existing budget, we couldn't make it. In time we wish to integrate that lore to game by making mini cinematics, character (pilot) creations, a detailed Codex page for our main menu and some short films. If as a company we get bigger enough to have budget for a story mode, we'll do it! That will always in our hearts to share our stories with you.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently, there are 12 ships with different classes and 2 abilities per each. Players can play with these ships on Online Multiplayer in 4 modes:
* Deathmatch
* Team Deathmatch
* Capture the Miner (like Capture the Flag)
* Domination (Classic capture point domination)

- 15 beautifully designed levels.

In Offline Single player, we have 2 modes (apart from tutorial and training):
* Drone Waves: Here drones are coming in waves and in multiplying numbers. You also get your score and can try to beat your best score.
* Custom Deathmatch: You can decide what number of drones and in what map you wish to play in this classic Deathmatch mode.

Note that internet connection is required at all time to be able to play the game.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. As the game is being developed during Early Access, it's price will be changed accordingly as it's approaching it's destination as a final release title.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Even in the Pre-Alpha, Alpha and Beta, community were everything for us. We have shaped this game with our community and will continue to do so. From a very basic speed & reflex game, we have created a giant multiplayer flight combat title with the support and feedbacks from our community. And our main aim is to continue this tradition.”

First Update with an FPS Mod!

Hello everyone, we have good news today!

Since our launch we have gathered lots of valuable feedback from you and now we present our first update.

The biggest feature is the new objective based FPS shooter mode that you can play in Single Player with 3 weapons. It's experimental right now so we need lots of feedback from you to improve it.

We have unlocked all ships so you don't need to level up to play every ship in the game which leads to...

...The player count in server are not high and we perfectly aware of this. As you know, we are just a couple of people and don't have big marketing budgets. So it's extremely hard for us to reach for streamers etc. But we are working on it! In the meantime you can perfectly play the game with your friends or just share the word.

We have numerous fixes in the UI, in the authentication system and overall performance. Now it's faster both in menus and gameplay. If you see anything wrong, just feel free to send us any comments.

We are still in the early stages of our release so we still working hard to make Voidrunner really fun and long lasting. Thanks for the incredible support. We tried to answer all emails (which was beyond thousand) but if we somehow forgot anyone, sorry! Ask us anything.

Oh by the way, this update doesn't have joystick support yet but we'll have very soon.

Hello everyone!

Thanks for helping us create our community! We have recently launched and as an indie studio, we have no big marketing resource of course. Or should we say...None at all! :) But we are in Top Sellers since our launch, thanks to you.

Right now we are gathering feedback and will post a patch very soon. Lots of ideas are pouring in from all of you and we really wish to have our game to a higher standards according to your feedback and ideas.

Voidrunner is a Multiplayer & Single Player Flight Shooter game set in an exotic universe called the Void. We reintroduce easy FPS controls to flight combat genre with large, open landscapes for fun and addictive flight experience.
