Why Early Access?

“We're doing Early Access to indicate that we still intend to add more content to the game. We chose Early Access because we could easily find out what game mechanics community likes. The players are the most important aspect of the game and so they should themselves say what updates are good and which are bad.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“If necessary, the game will be based on regular updates based on feedback from the community. It is not yet clear how long will the Early Access remain, however, it is important for us to tighten the game to a functional state, which we have on paper.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We are planning a really big updates and additions to the game. Also, we continue to improve the properties of the current game. The full version of the game should have fully functional universe, sophisticated multiplayer, economy and taken them skill system.”

“The game is currently in the initial development phase of the Alpha. Certain components are implemented in the game, but we are still working on the game.”

Some more wip in development screenshots.

Hello guys,

we are still hard at work here at Lusorion on Azulgar. I know I have promissed you guys with a gameplay trailer but since we are still really deep in development we had to re-adjust our plans a bit. We want to bring the best experience possible and now its really kicking in. So for a little bit more time we still focus on dev. In the meantime I am posting some in-development wip screenshots. One of them is showing the MK1 Morrid from another dimension the the other one is showing the basis of your home base with a hangar where you can re-build and reshuffle your ships armaments and the overall design. Another picture is of the sniper mode. And lastly there is a picture of a derelict station that you can loot. I am using my custom-built Gunship for these purposes. Currently you are able to fit your ship with as many as 80+ modules , weapons and ship variations. We are really happy as to how the ship-to-ship combat is progressing and the weapons kick a real punch. There will be an untold number of different enemies in the game in a hand-crafted universe. I will keep you posted with updates

New on release and upcoming features coming soon

Hello Folks,

we have been holding off with some development news for some time simply because we have been hard at work on reworking the game engine and most of the game logic. We will slowly start releasing more information to you from now on. In the upcoming week we will announce a release date and follow up with some pictures and a teaser trailer for the game. It has been quite a journey for all of us working on the project. Blood and sweat has been the name of the game.

We have completely re-hauled the AI, building mechanisms, game logic and physics. We have added many cool weapons that you guys will love. A ton of building options for both ships and stations are now in. We added a completely new map to the game and alien mobs (morrids) to fight with - they are especially tough :). We added deathmatch and team deathmatch game modes for the action part of the game. At the same time we had to take many tough development decisions in order to bring you the best fun for the buck possible :). In short the game is something else now :)

Were finishing up now and preparing for an early access release quite soon.

More news on features and development decisions coming up next week.

About This Game

Legends of Azulgar is a Sci-Fi Action oriented Strategy Roleplaying game that puts you in command of a space ship, space station and a fleet in a massive sandbox universe. The game immerses the player in a fully interactive environment and a world rich in lore and Legends.

In 2XXX a terrestrial observatory on earth detected traces of an ancient signal from the distant solar system of Auriga. As the world's top scientists investigated, it started to become clear that this signal did not originate from a celestial anomaly - but from an artificial source.

With the signal now partially deciphered you are tasked with exploring this new and strange solar system and discovering the secrets of Azulgar and it’s mysterious signal.

Every shot matters - Legends of Azulgar is inspired by naval combat and focuses heavily on player ability with every weapon in action mode aimed and controller directly by the player. Carefully line up a torpedo strike to inflict maximum damage, lead your targets to ensure a crippling shell impact or charge in for close range combat.

strategic Mode

Command your fleet in strategic mode and dominate the battlefield.

  • RTS-style control with formations, engagement ranges, groups and waypoints.
  • Split your fleet to flank your opponent
  • Our strategic control scheme is a derivative of the award winning game Homeworld

action Mode

Switch on the fly and take control of a ship with your captain - pilot in action mode to directly impact the battle.

  • Skill-based Weaponry
  • Shields: Shields only activate when the player commands - and only face one direction.. use them wisely or get crushed by incoming fire.
  • Afterburners: Escape the battle or use them to close range and surprise your enemy - but remember afterburners have limited energy so don't get caught out.
  • Missile Defences: Torpedo's and missiles are a BIG problem.. but time your defences well to counter then with your ships mini-guns.

captain customisation

Level up your captain and unlock new abilities and ways to customise how you play!

Special Cards (CyberSlots) that you can use to customize your captain.

  • Some cards will be rare to find and only drop from bosses or youd have to be really lucky to find them in your new card deck. Some will be more easier to find.
  • Captains drop these cards once their Bridge module is defeated and other players or NPCs can loot them.
  • Yes this basically means full loot pvp if you choose to play on such servers!
  • Some cards will have active abilities and cooldowns and some will have passive abilities that improve your ship behaviour all the time.
  • Players can choose to exchange cards or play a game of poker or dice for them in pubs or outside the game
  • Cards will also be trateable on steam workshop
