King Yaroglek didn't gave me the castle that I sieged and captured by myself.

King Yaroglek is no more.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Mount and Blade: Warband is an expansion of the original Mount & Blade, and we can say that is the most popular game from the franchise as now. It brings new features, and a new faction to the game.

Using elements of RPGs and RTS games, it's a action open-world game, where the player create a character and build it's story as he wants. Your mainly task is to build a army and take over Calradia, taking the role of king, or supporting a NPC. You can divide the game in two parts: the world map exploration, the battles and the village/city wandering.

The world map is basically what the name says - a map that you control your party to go to cities, villages, castles, enter in battles or sieges and more. The battle mode is a third-person combat where you take direct control over you character and give orders to your troops. And the wanderer mode is where you can talk to villagers in a city, get quest from NPCs and other things. But this isn't even close to all that M&B: WB has to offer. You have a skill tree system, you can marry, have your own kingdom (a.k.a. Faction), command vassals, do sieges, and a lot more.

Now, talking about the graphics, sound and overall tech in the game, I must say that is kind of dated as now. Some mechanics are not that pratical and there's lots of bugs. But fortunately, mods play a big role here. Warband is a mod friendly game and you can have entire new experiences, or a native enhanced experience with them. I myself played a bit of the Gekokujo, that adds a new campaing, with a new setting (Japan). There's also the famous Game of Thrones mod, but I still have to try it.

I still have to try the multiplayer again, but it seems to be active and fun to play. I also need to check some Workshop mods later.

Anyway, Mount & Blade: Warband is a great game that even with technical flaws, still holds up to a very fun game.

M&B Warband is like a woman with the ugliest face you have ever seen...
But if you look closely she has the body of a goddess. And if you spend some time with her you start to dont even notice how ugly she actually is.

Seems like it has been 3 years since I reviewed this game... Now I have got 2000+ hours in the game (and counting) And I can truly say I have played this game to pieces, not only have I became a melee "god" I have also acomplished many things within the community... Things include:

-Lead a succesful 90 man regiment
-Finish 4th in a regimental based tournament
-Taught English to many of my friends I have met along my journeys
-Participated in many melee tournaments and finished high-up

If you are looking for a game; to play singleplayer, this is your game.
If you are looking for a game; to play multiplayer, then you must consider a lot of things. Playing the multiplayer to join in public servers is a waste of time unless you are trying to get good at melee. Joining a clan is certainly the best option you could take, although I would reccommend the Napoleonic Wars DLC for that. The reason why I would ensure this is because you meet lots of people and take part in lots of community hosted events.

Ultimately, there is a lot to achieve in this game if you are willing to give it a go and the time that it deserves and needs.

10/10, seriously best game going around right now.

King Harlaus has gotten his ♥♥♥♥ing ♥♥♥ kicked at the Battle of Uxkhal by a bunch of ♥♥♥♥ ant Rhodok barbarians fighting with nothing but sticks, long loaves of bread, and their own ♥♥♥♥.

After fleeing Vyincourd like the inbred cowardly ♥♥♥♥♥♥ that he is, Harlaus then got his ♥♥♥♥ kicked in by King Graveth. The engagement lasted approvimately thirteen seconds and resulted in the entire collapse of the Swadian economy and the complete annihilation of its armed forces.

Reportedly, Harlaus made the classical strategic mistake of not doing a single intelligent thing and instead chose to take his entire cavalry force away from the battle to steal a few cooking pans from the Rhodoks camp while King Graveth tore his army apart. After witnessing his entire infantry and crossbowmen killed by a bunch of mountain savages in the middle of bum♥♥♥♥ nowhere, Harlaus ♥♥♥♥ his pants and fled the battlefield like a little girl.

This game completely ruined my life at one point. I was constnatly berated for having no social life, on edge because my castles were being attached by filthy communists and my troops kept dying in battle because they kept walking into each other like a massive cluster♥♥♥♥. I lost many valuble hours of sleep and at one point I began to develop a existential crisis and start to question my life. I would completely recommend this experience to anybody.

What are you waiting for? The game is not gonna buy itself! If you haven't played it yet you should definitely give it a try as it has one of the best combat systems in the gameworld and one of the most sophisticated multiplayers as well. If you haven't seen one naked guy wielding a sword winning against ten foes because of skill so far, then you are going to see it in this game as skill is everyhting needed to success, regardless of your equipment.

I can safely say at 1,000 hours that this game is for any medieval fan. This game may look tacky considering people's standards have risen... However, if you love a challenge and medieval combat, this game will take over your life. I strongly suggest going on duel servers online if you wish to embark on big events or mods. If you are slowly getting bored of the single player or online sieges/battles, i strongly suggest the Persistent World mod. Just make sure you are good atcombat and you should do just fine.
