About This Game

In a land torn asunder by incessant warfare, it is time to assemble your own band of hardened warriors and enter the fray. Lead your men into battle, expand your realm, and claim the ultimate prize: the throne of Calradia!
Mount & Blade: Warband is the eagerly anticipated stand alone expansion pack for the game that brought medieval battlefields to life with its realistic mounted combat and detailed fighting system.
  • Graphical overhaul: Support added for HDR, FSAA, depth of field, soft particles, tone mapping, and many other effects
  • New models with greater detail and high-quality textures
  • Multiplayer battles with up to 64 players. Multiplayer modes include Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Conquest, Battle, and Siege
  • A campaign allowing you to become the ruler of a faction and convince lords to become your vassals
  • The ability to upgrade your companions to vassals by granting them lands
  • The ability to marry a lady of the realm for romance or cold political gain. Try to win a lady’s heart through poetry or bravery
  • Improved mechanics for soldier morale: Soldiers will break and run away if their morale gets too low
  • Pick any projectile off the battlefield for use as additional munitions
  • New motion-captured combat animations
  • Numerous improvements to the combat system: Your shield will still stop arrows even if you are not actively defending
  • The ability to play multiplayer matches on random maps as well as hand-designed ones
  • Multiplayer equipment system: Earn money by fighting opponents or accomplishing goals
  • The ability to use most throwing weapons in close combat: Switch to using a javelin as a short spear when the enemy gets close
  • Spend gold on more powerful equipment, using a carefully balanced system that will make combat more exciting without giving too much of an advantage to the leading team

Before I begin Native Warband, is good. Everybody's a troll and everybody's played this game for 2,000 hours plus, so dont buy it if you dont feel like wasting half your life on it.

Never buy NW, since litterally everybody there is, let me put it this way.
1. Tryhards.
2. Recruiters for some god awful third world regiment.
3. ♥♥♥♥-heads. I cant say that? What kind of a world do we live in?
4. 3,000 hour trolls who decide annoying people by ♥♥♥♥ing their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥s is a great way to spend their day.
5. Regiments, need I say more?
6. Actual, living and breathing, nerds. Like, I call some dude a racial slur and theres a 12% chance im getting ddosed.
7. Broken asf hitboxes.
8. "Spin to win." It works. Then you call them out and their only response is to say your just bad. Hilarious bait, you lowlife ♥♥♥♥♥♥s.
9. Nappy.
10. They broke the game with the update made two years ago, which completely ♥♥♥♥ed the melee system and has since destroyed all faith I had in this game.
11. By the way, im still banned from NA1 for saying "♥♥♥♥" one time? Its been a year guys, :)

Aside from all that, Viking Conquest is fine, and the mods are great. So, the only reason to buy NW, is to litterally use it for Full Invasion 2, Persistent World, or some other great mod out there. Otherwise, don't even use it. Regiments are the cancer of this community.

So yeah, buy it for mods and stuff, ♥♥♥♥♥.

Original game is not as interesting as Vikings Reforged DLC.. repetitive game experience and still laggy.

These communists have nothing better to do than check out reviews and downvote them when instead they could be improving their game... how pathetic..

For people considering buying this game I strongly suggest you to have a $5000 computer with compatibility for extreme gaming.. it is fun game for a high processor; otherwise be ready to face the ultimate lag experience. Make sure you get a $10,000 computer when M&BII gets released.

PS. commies. fix your game(s) instead of waste time on downvoting on Steam. Very pathetic of you.. seriously.

This game is amazing. That's all I can say to describe it. It's concept (to my semi-limited knowledge about video games) is original, and addicting. Long description short: you hire mercinaries, save farmers, hire people you captured in battle to build up your personal army. With that army you seige castles, destroy enemy villages, and attack bandits/deserters, It's level up system is simple and effective. The only problem I've had in my almost 100 hour playthrough is my game bugged out and whenever I try to buy something from merchants, weapon smiths, armor smiths, and horse merchants the only thing in their inventory is an apron. I just ran into this problem so I don't know if there is a solution but either way this game is a must buy.

Hey you! Yes you!

-Have you ever dreamt of world domination with hordes of crazy asian horsemen?
-Tired of all those multiplayer games where veterens always have the highest teir equipment?
-Enjoy getting beaten senseless by various groups of men yelling "I will drink from your skull!"?

Then Mount & Blade: Warband is the game for you!

Hop into a world where you will forget you have a life. A multiplayer where veteren players charge at you half naked with deformed faces. Emmersive and brutal singleplayer campaigns as you rise from rags to riches, constantly being reminded its almost harvesting season.

Worth every penny, pound, peso, and denar. Two great DLCS: Fir- I mean- Napoleonic Wars and Viking Conquest along with tons of random mods. Buy it now and then be ready to do it agian in Bannerlords!

(This has been a meesage from the Calradian Farmers Association- "It's almost Harvesting Season!")

>First time played
>Start in Kingdom of Nords because vikings are cool
>Finish starting quests
>Start exploring the world
>Notice a group of 15 bandits on horseback
>Ohshit.jpg
>Run for my life but is cornered by a group of 5 other bandits coming in from the opposite direction
>Me and the 4 men that I recruited during initial quests try to stand our ground
>Get ♥♥♥♥ed
>Humiliated and dragged around until I escape
>I start my journey all over
>I finish quests given to me by the vassal lords, win tournaments, hone my skills, and finally become a vassal myself to the Nord King
>However I still remember the deaths of my 4 companions and my thirst for revenge grew stronger each second
>I make an army of over 30 highly trained hurcarls, as well as some archers, and begin my hunt for those bandits that wronged me long ago
>Spot my first group of bandits, only 15 strong and on foot
>Go in for the kill
>They run away from me into the hostile neighboring territory of the Kingdom of Swadia
>I hesitate at first, but then i remember the horrid things done to me at the hands of those bandit ♥♥♥♥ers
>The steep terrain of the area slowed me down considerably
>It was night but I was on their heels
>Suddenly 2 Swadian bands appear out of the dark, right in front of me
>Each 100+ men strong
>The lord that reaches me first demands my surrender
>I have no choice but to fight
>I set my huscarls to follow me into a charge while the archers stay behind to provide supressive fire
>Steel clashing on steel and the screams of the dying can be heard all around
>Though I am battered and i have lost over 2/3rds of my army, i manage to defeat the Swadian scum
>Suddenly, i notice something in the corner of my screen
>"A new wave of enemies has arrived"
>Ohshit.jpg 2.0
>Suddenly, a wave of arrows showers down on my forces from the top of a hill as fresh enemy infantry charge down
>We try to stand our ground
>Get ♥♥♥♥ed 2.0
>Dragged and humiliated until 4 men and I escape
>Begin to head back to the lands of the Nords
>Get ambushed by a band of 15 bandits on horseback
>Ohshit.jpg 3.0
>Me and my 4 men try to hold out
>get ♥♥♥♥ed 3.0
>10/10 would get ♥♥♥♥ed, dragged, and humiliated again

How it went
- Bought game and 10:15 AM
- Played for a while, was thouroughly impressed
- I wake up from what seems like a dream at 4 AM the next morning
- Still made hardly any progress

Legitimately one of, if not the best games on Steam

14/10, would play again, and have, for ~220 more hours.
