What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Dead Army – Radio Frequency is a strategy game, and that is precisely why we want the community to be a part of its developing process. With player feedback we will be able to tweak and balance every type of unit; to enhance both singleplayer and multiplayer modes; to create a smoother experience throughout a sharper performance; among other additions. We will provide several multiplayer modes periodically in order to deliver an efficient way for the community to send us their thoughts on how to enhance the game experience.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Early Access will be the means through which we will provide several multiplayer modes for player testing; to balance allied and enemy units; to create a polished gameplay; and to tweak the game into being as challenging and fun as possible.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The final version of the game will feature new multiplayer modes that were not included during Early Access. It will also add a Spectator Mode, in which players will be able to learn how to play the game by watching rounds from other players and/or friends. Another feature that the finished product will have is the Level Editor, where the community will be able to create their own challenges.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Everything described concerning gameplay mechanics are in the Early Access build at the moment. We will actively release updates for every game mode, and we will also add new features based on the community feedback. Multiplayer modes will be periodically released.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Dead Army – Radio Frequency will be cheaper during Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We are experienced in developing games that have been released both in and out of Steam. Our involvement in such projects made us realize that the contact with the community and with a diverse group of players can drastically change the way in which a game can be enhanced, regarding a constant development of content, as well as tweaks and fixes to the game. We are going to make the most out of this valuable process during the Early Access of Dead Army – Radio Frequency to deliver the best game possible – a game that the community wants to play. Every player that buys Dead Army – Radio Frequency will be able to get in touch with Skyjaz Games through Steam community in order to submit us their opinion, suggestions, complaints and compliments. We also have other social media profiles that can also be used to contact us, such as Twitter, Facebook, our official website and also Dead Army – Radio Frequency’s official website. There won’t be any obstacles for players to reach us and with this commitment we are going to take our concept of communitarian development to the next level.”

About This Game

Dead Army is a Real Time Strategy (RTS) game where the player takes control of an army of zombies. The player will be able to command each and every zombie in order to create the best strategy to raze military bases, villages and small towns. Given that controlling zombies is a feature, the player will also be able to increase its undead army through human infection. In the multiplayer mode players will be able to choose between zombies or law enforcers in a battle for the supremacy of a region.

Concept

Based on both Tower Defense and Real Time Strategy genres, the player will take control of a pre-determined number of zombies and march them towards the enemy bases on each level. These bases are populated by armed soldiers or law enforcers that can be in or outside of a service station.

Single Player Mode

Player objective varies within each level. Some objectives will be more straightforward than others. With that being said, in some levels the player will have to kill all enemies to succeed; while in other levels the player may be tasked with the gathering of some resource, or protecting a hero at all costs. The objectives will be displayed as soon as the player reaches a new level.

Miscellaneous objectives in Single Player Mode

Not every level will feature misc-objectives. Their purpose will be to generate additional challenges to the player. Some will be simple, while others will need an elaborate strategy for its completion. Misc-objectives will not be mandatory in order to complete any level.

Multiplayer Mode (not added yet)

Player objective will vary with each chosen game mode. The general objective will be to prevail over every opponent.

Levels

Every level will have one or more enemy bases to be destroyed, and every level will also start with an initial amount of zombies for the player to control. This amount can be increased throughout the course of the game.
