About This Game

Bummer! World War III happened and killed most of the world’s population. The ones that got toasted were the lucky ones. Survivors live in constant fear of being murdered or enslaved by violent gangs, renegade military units and, of course; mutants.

Outfitted with a heavily armored car, unlimited firepower and a thirst for vengeance, our Heroine – the Wasteland Angel roams the radioactive wastes, travelling from one God-forsaken town to the next, protecting survivors from being enslaved. She’s on a mission, to defend those that can’t defend themselves.

Wasteland Angel is a throw-back to the era of vintage arcade shooters, where players fend off waves of enemies and ultimately face-off against epic end-level bosses. From a top-down isometric view, players pilot the Wasteland Angel’s overpowered vehicle as its dual machine guns cut a swath across the terrain. To handle whatever the gangs, muties and renegades throws her way, Wasteland Angel has upgradeable weapons and ammo that can rip enemies from this life and toss them into the next.

Wasteland Angel is not a bad little game. There are waves of opponents that will either damage you or damage the towns you have to protect, you have to defeat them all without dropping to zero health or letting the towns lose all their HP. The game has some style but its cliched, and and only skin deep, much like the gameplay, which is arguably some fun but quickly becomes repetitive, the graphics are servicable but underwhelming, kinda wish they made the whole game in the anime style of the cutscenes instead of this outdated 3D. AI is kind of dumb but comes in large numbers maintaining some challenge. Story is barely enough to give context to why you sometimes switch arenas to slightly harder to defend maps as you progress through the "campaign" but it stays within the theme of the post apocalpyse. Multiple difficulty levels - controller friendly - passable background music and score. The noise of the engine when you thrust constantly becomes grating on the nerves. Overall its a very forgettable experience but one that doesnt leave you feel like you got robbed if you got it for dirt cheap and in short bursts its nice to push through to finish the story and unlock some of the cool looking achievements.

Wasteland Angel is a driving action game set in an apocalyptic world. You must destroy other enemy cars in order to save your base and complete your missions. I found this game had great controls and satisfying action, though the difficulty level was not always intense enough to truly satisfy like a win in CS:GO. However, it was well worth the time spent, though the storyline was easily cliche and forgetable. The graphics were top down perspective and worked well for the type of game that it was.

Wastland Angel is a pretty good top-down isometric vehicle combat game. You drive around trying to eliminate vehicles that are attacking you and that are trying to take civilians. Its about the right length I think, not difficult to get through on normal difficulty the last couple of levels getting a bit tougher. Not too bad.

Literally hundreds of customers since 2011 have voiced that they can't get this game to work. Meridian the publisher and technical support to this game does absolutely nothing about it. Four years and still no working game, no technical help no matter how many times you email them. This game needs to be taken off the Steam store forcing the developers and publisher to re-address all teething issues. The fact that they continue to slog the unaware public $10.00 for a product that does not work is a testiment on how uncaring this company is and the fact that Steam also has turned a blind eye is not flattering to their customer support either. DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
