Why Early Access?

“CounterAttack is in a very playable state with lots of content but we aren't done adding new stuff! There are also a few big changes we would like to finish before the full release including a UI redesign, 4 player local coop, and the ability to mix local coop with online play.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“If all goes well CounterAttack should be out of Early Access by October/November 2017.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will include more levels, more weapons, more attachments, a better UX, Steam trading cards, Steam achievements, and more streamlined multiplayer.

We're also entertaining the idea of doing voice overs for all of the dialog. We'll see if this is a feature everybody wants and if we should spend our time on it.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is very playable with single player, local coop, and online multiplayer. All of the levels aren't finished yet but the game is beatable in both easy and hard mode. Limited achievements are also in place, as well as steam stats. A few leader boards exist but we plan on adding more as time goes on.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“While CounterAttack is in Early Access it will be sold at a discounted amount.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We hope to incorporate as much feedback from the community as possible. CounterAttack wouldn't be what it is today without the feedback from all of the testers. Thank you very much to everybody that has helped so far! And thank you in advanced for the feedback you're going to leave.”

CounterAttack is a scrolling space shooter with lots of upgrades and interesting levels.

Earth is under attack! The Automations, humanity's own creation, have rebelled. They will stop at nothing short of the complete destruction of their former masters. There is but one hope, the experimental space fighter program. Fight solo or team up for intense coop action, 1 - 4 player locally or 2 - 8 players online, unlock upgrades, use powerful ultimate abilities, enhance your ship the way you want, and save the Earth from annihilation.

The CounterAttack
Play as one of 8 heroes while you defend the Earth from the Automaton invasion. Each ship has a unique ult, players can customize their ship with unlockables and attachments, as well as a combination powerup system which allows personalized weapons and attacks. Create new weapons by combining attachments.



Fight crazy bosses

Each level has its own boss, with some secret levels and bosses. Unlock new weapons and upgrades by beating some levels or accomplishing difficult tasks.



Choose from the 7 pilots

Each pilot has a unique ship and ultimate weapon. Ayumi has the Tactical Nuke, Biff as the Big Biff Laser, Marcus has the Mesonwave, Joe has Overcharge, Sarah has the Quantium Shield, Sloane has the Fighter Squadron, and Carl has the Plasma Strike.
