About the Game

The Gods haven’t looked too kindly on humanity and Earth, as we know it, has been reduced to a group of island archipelagos, populated by “BUDDIES” – pint-sized creatures, unbound by gravity’s forces and free to float and frolic at their own whim and leisure.
The Gods have given the BUDDIES free reign over these colorful islands for their own willy-nilly, topsy turvy pleasure. But, there is a way to stop them ….FUN is the secret ingredient that will ground the BUDDIES and return gravity to Earth.
As one of Earth’s last human survivors, it’s up to you to dish out a healthy dose of amusement to restore order on Earth.
Do you have what it takes to outwit the BUDDIES and win back the favor of the Gods?

Alright, I have a confession to make. Cargo scares me...I mean, really scares me. How can playing with anatomically incorrect little naked dudes be so much fun? It's so...wrong. Sure, there's a story buried in there somewhere, but really, Cargo is at its heart a giant physics playground. You can build all kinds of wacky contraptions that drive, fly, float, and submerge. Once you get bored of building, you can run around kicking naked people in the ♥♥♥♥ to make them happy, which is something most normal naked folks probably wouldn't find near as amusing.

You can call Cargo a game, but it's at once a statement, a painting, and some kind of kooky art all put together. It pulls you in, spits you out, and runs over you as you try to run away. It just won't let you go. You'll keep coming back, long after friends and family have abandoned you because of your weird obsession with it. Is there a point to it? Sure, but damned if I know what it is.

Cargo is everything an indie game both should and shouldn't be, and you can't go wrong with a purchase of it.

For being a game devoted to "fun," the constant reminders across the screen asking "Are you having fun?" serve to make me aware of the lack of fun. I played it to the end (one end of two), and only stuck it out to check it off a list of games I have in my library. It is short (less than 6 hours). The physics of the game are frustrating (especially at the end when flying comes in). The humor is not my style, but it may be yours... The story is terrible. Making your own vehicles serves little to no purpose as the blueprints of vehicles are often good enough. They force you to build one time during the game, but that even that was limited (as there was only one real option on how to build). I do not think this is worth your time let alone money.

I should add that the time listed for me is slightly off due to steam network issues. It was less than 6 hours of play time though.
