What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“After The End: The Harvest is a game which has recently entered the Beta phase and still actively ongoing development. This means that new features, graphics and content will continue being added up until release.

In terms of how the game is being developed, features and content could be added endlessly. Alpha, and Beta are primarily used to distinguish that the game is still in on-going active development and subject to changes.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“This game has recently entered Beta and will be ready for full release soon.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to have trading cards, gamepad support, achievements and more.
(Achievements, Game-pad Support Recently Added)
(Trading Cards Coming Very Soon)

The long term goal is to add even more planets and areas within space with their own inter-woven story lines, cultures, quests and more. As this is an open-world game, a lot is also being done to ensure as little bugs as possible.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“After The End: The Harvest is currently a full game in the sense that it can be played from start to finish.
You can go on quests, explore multiple galaxies, fight with Titans and reach various endings.
Some areas are more populated then others, but overall there is things to find, see and do in each location.

Current build is Beta V0.1 and may still contain some bugs.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game originally started as Free To Play on various websites up until V0.05.
As more content is being added the price will gradually increase.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community is really important to me. They are the reason that the game has gotten this far. I have been listening closely to their complaints, suggestions and requests. I hope that people continue giving their requests for things they'd like to see in future updates.

The community is very important in helping me decide what to work on next.”

Update V0.9 + Final Release Info

Hi everyone,

I hope you've all been enjoying the latest content updates for ATE:TH!

V0.9 will be releasing very soon and will include:
-New Areas
-Graphical Updates
-Day/Night Tweaks
-Planet Climate Tweaks
-Rune/Socketing System for Weapons and Armours
+Much more!
Full patch notes for V0.9 will be available once the update is live.

Unfortunately, Save Files made prior to V0.9 will not be compatible with this coming update. If you would like to continue playing your current file, then I would recommend not updating until you're ready.
I apologize for the inconvenience this may cause for some current players but it has been necessary so that the game is ready and as bug-free as possible for final release. V0.9 Save Files will be compatible with V1.0.

I just wanted to also take this moment to outline some of the remaining plans before the final release/launch.

It's been a long road but we're so close to finishing.
Thank you to everyone who has voiced their opinions and supported the game so far, this could not have been achieved without you all!
For a first game, I'd have to say I'm pretty pleased with the final result.
I believe this is a truly unique game and I sincerely hope you, and future players enjoy the final product.

There is some bad news, unfortunately.
The digital comic which was mentioned in older announcements will not be releasing alongside the final version. Hopefully, I will be able to release it sometime soon after the game's launch but I can't offer any guarantees at this stage. The Prologue version which was up late last year on the experimental branch will also not be releasing as a free demo on Steam for potential buyers.
This decision was made because the game systems within the main version have progressed so much since the Prologue release, and has essentially made the Prologue obsolete. A new demo which is more representative of the final version will be released once the game launches.

You can still download and play Crash Landed/Prologue for free here-

Beta update V0.9 coming soon.

Thanks, everyone!

Hi everyone,

V0.8 is now live!

Beta Patch V0.8 includes Fishing, Housing, Bug Fixes and more!

Beta Patch Notes V0.8:

Food items such as Raw Meat, Fish and Apples may also now be cooked, if you place a Stove or Kitchen Bench and interact with it.
Although some furniture is cosmetic, placing items such as "Weapon Racks" may grant the player temporary buffs such as Attack Power Boosts, and Fuel Disablers.

-Fishing Minigame! Across the various Planet World Maps, Boardwalks have appeared which when stood on, can be used to trigger a fishing minigame. Fishing Rods and Bait can be purchased from various merchants for a
small fee. Caught Fish can also be cooked inside of the new homes to increase their healing benefits.

-Two new Steam achievements have been added which relate to the new Fishing and Housing features

-Menu's/Window Skins Cosmetic Update

-Item/Weapon Color Rarity Fixes

-NPC drops and Monster drops tweaks

-NPC AI adjustments

-Various chests of loot added

-A bug was discovered with the System Options menu, specifically, changing the BGM, or SE levels
wouldn't save after adjusting. This has been corrected.

-Bug discovered which would allow the player to obtain a "Teleport Item" from Story Mode while playing in Adventure Mode. This has been fixed.

-New Hopa Merchants and Stock added to Trading Stations

-Other various tweaks, balances, and surprises

Thanks, everyone!
