About This Game

Two Games for the Price of One- Final Approach: Pilot Edition includes a copy of the original Final Approach for Tracked Motion Controllers. If you already purchased the original Final Approach, check your library for your free copy of Final Approach: Pilot Edition

Take control of the skies like never before in a full Virtual Reality world! Airplanes on fire, commuter aircraft low on fuel, mid-air collisions, emergency rescues, and military exercises all need your immediate attention. Manage your aircraft and airports in "God Mode" as you tower over large metropolitan airports, tropical islands, and towering cities. Path your aircraft to safety, avoiding air traffic, fierce thunderstorms, and perilous landscapes. Get those planes refueled, repaired, and back in the air as fast as possible. You will need nerves of steel as you zoom down to "Toy Mode" to fight raging aircraft fires, man the guns and missiles of the battleship, and the worst task of all...Luggage Sorting. Don't waste any time, the skies are full of emergencies that only you can manage. Did we mention the Alien Invasion? Welcome to Final Approach!

Room-Scale VR

Never before has a game used the full capability and power of Room Scale Virtual Space! The sky is full of aircraft of every shape and size, from F16s to Blackhawk Helicopters, WW2 Spitfires and barnstorming bi-wings. We even threw in predator drones and stealth bombers for free! Enjoy over 6 hours of gameplay, mini-games, and free-play modes!

Final Approach gives you complete control of the skies around the airports and islands as you tower over the world in what we call "God Mode". Using the HTC Vive or Oculus Touch motion controllers, reach up to grab an aircraft, draw a path from one side of the room to the other, and get the aircraft to their designated runway. In addition to managing the aircraft, the player can use zoom points throughout the game to get up close and personal with various aspects of the terrain. Scale down to real world size, where you can fight roaring fires with water hoses, interact with the guns and missile launchers of battleships, sort luggage, scare off seagulls with air horns and solve puzzles to make your way through the game.

Gameplay

  • Flying military jets and helicopters in combat and rescue missions while navigating the decks of aircraft carriers and battleships. Take control of the boat guns and missiles as you fight off enemy combatants
  • Take control of a city airport, managing large commercial and private aircraft. Pilot them down to their appropriate gates while you navigate helicopters and ground crew on various tasks.
  • Fly your rescue and support helicopters around skyscrapers and large office buildings in a towering metropolis as you navigate your way through busy streets to clear traffic jams, fight towering infernos, and rescue stranded citizens.
  • Aircraft include F-16 and F18 fighter jets, DCA-717s, A320 Commercial Jets, Messerschmitts, Spitfires, B2 Stealth Bombers, B17s, Predator Drones, Heli UH 60 Gunners, HH65C Dauphins, Sikorsky Ch-54s, HH-60 Blackhawks and so much more!

Story Mode

Follow our heroic pilots as they work their way through dangerous missions and hazardous terrain. But they can't do it alone, they need your help. Keep them safe while they help you decipher puzzles and challenges that could lead you to the truth and knowledge of how to stop what could be the world's greatest threat yet, ALIENS!

Great VR adaptation of the traffic controller genre of games. Great additional dimension of occasionally needing to go to ground to solve a problem and see the world from the bottom up. Decent graphics. Well done story mode.

I own 42 VR experiences on the Vive so far, and this game is one of my favorites. It's the longest single session I have spent in a VR game, and the most genuinely entertaining experience so far. Most games have been neat because they are VR, however Final Approuch is fun in it's own right, and VR just makes it a fabulous experience. This is a must play for any VR owner.

One of the best games on the Vive. And it feels like a full game with lots of content as opposed to the endless amount of early access/demos out there.

I've spend more time in this game than just about any (other than The Lab and Audio Shield).

Exceptional quality all around and Worth the price!

Solid air traffic control game with some minigames sprinkled in that takes full advantage of VR. Very good and detailed graphics, it's like having your toy plane models and miniature cities, battleships come to life ... and occasionally you jump right into those toys to control them. Overall, it's a great experience.

My only gripe is that throwing minigames are too hard if you have a small space and have to constantly hold back your throw in fear of hitting something. Either that or I have no arm strength at all.

Ever walk around with a toy airplane, flying around your home? The sense of being in a world of miniatures in motion is fantastic. Many missions, play areas and plenty of replayability. Great game!

little miniatures are definitely mind blowing, while i was playing i felt like a child again.
detail and graphics are nice too.
i definitely enjoyed it however had hard time playing it.. maybe i am not that patient person; lol
i played this game and uploaded on my you-tube channel.

Very fun game. Challenging, but you can get the hang of it and get better and better. I don't play that often and I still have plenty of stuff still to do.

I love model aircrafts since I was a kid. This game is like a dream come true. I just can't get enough directing the cute little aircrafts in the game. These are cartoonized versions of real aircrafts with excellent details. The interface is excellent, of which I believe can also be applied to RTS games. This is a game I keep on coming back to, and can never get tired of. Great job!

I actually feel bad now about waiting to buy this for $20. This game is so much better than what I was expecting. The detail, my gosh, the detail. I was blown away by the opening screen, even. The menus are gorgeous and perfect for VR, the planes look amazing, and there is a surprising amount of variety in the gameplay.

This game is SO MUCH MORE than simply drawing flight routes for planes to land (a-la Air Control for mobile platform). That's what I was expecting, and it's there, but oh my, it's only a tiny part. This is a perfect example of a game that doesn't convey it's beauty from demo vids or pictures. Maybe consider releasing a short demo of the first mission? I bought this because it looked interesting, the dev seemed really nice from interviews before Vive release, and I really appreciated their communication about the initial sticker shock and subsequent price drop.

Had I known the game was this polished, with so much variety, I would not have cared about the aforementioned reasons for the purchase. This game is a blast, plain and simple. Can't wait to get out of work so I can get back to it!

Love planes? You'll probably really enjoy Final Approach. Me262 taxiing to the runway ready for take-off? Yes please

This is just so much fun, the attention to detail and production is brilliant, for me it is like being a ten year old again, for those watching it looks like I am doing Tai Chi

Another example of great VR where the entire game works well within a small space.

The first time I was put down onto the runway to put out a fire, it felt more real than anything else I've played so far.

Final Approch is more than it seems on the first sight. First i thought it is one of those mobile games where you have to guide planes without crashing them and was pretty sure that i will get a refund after trying it. I was wrong.

This game has a lot to do and the missions are very varied. The graphics are very good and just fit the game and VR. It seems also like a very complete game and not like one of the many overpriced tech-demos. VR is very well integrated into the game it's not only fun to look at your airport but also to do the short mini missions in 1st person. When doing the mini missions the game doesn't stop and you can see all the things happening arround you. If you are in doubt, try it and get a refund if you don't like it.

I think this game deserves more attention.

This game is quite fun, but you have to spend a while adjusting the Vive's headset to be able to reliably look down. I really wish that this game would do what Tabletop Simulator did, which is include a height adjustment option. Even with that though, the game is quite entertaining, and definitely one of the better games on the market for VR right now.

edit: A developer has commented that apparently there IS a height adjustment! This is great because not only is my issue resolved, but they care enough about thier product to monitor the Discussions. All this serves as even more of a reason to get this game, if only to support good customer service, lol

This game a lot of fun and, so far, it seems like the most polished vive release. It's a complete game and not just a demo or early access. Watching little planes fly around your head feels surreal. Also, I'm really glad they put in a full tutorial, I'm suprised how many games have skipped this part.

This game reminds me of a mobile game I used to enjoy a bit. I really like seeing all of the little details. The controls can be a little confusing at times, but overall the game is great fun, and one of the more feature complete titles out currently.

A tip though, I was having some problems with neck strain with looking down the whole time, until I realized you can open up the room settings in game and bring the floor up. Highly recommend doing this to save yourself from constantly having to hang your head down to see what's going on. After figuring this out, this game jumped up to the top for me. Must have!
