Why Early Access?

“Votica is a strategy/simulation game that we aim to develop together with the players. While the core mechanics of the game are already in place, we want to fine-tune the balance, add new content, and deepen the overall experience by gathering feedback from different play styles. During this process, the opinions of the player community will serve as a guiding force in both the mechanical and thematic evolution of Votica.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We don't want to commit to a specific release date, as there may be shifts in direction based on player feedback during development. However, our plan is to move Votica to full release after a few major content and balancing updates. We expect this process to take a few months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In the full release, we aim to include features shaped by player feedback, such as new types of campaign actions, more diverse mini-games, improved AI behavior, enhanced campaign systems, and greater demographic variety. We also plan to work on elements that will enrich the experience, like cosmetic customization options, different game modes, and story-driven scenarios.

While the core structure of the game will remain intact, we hope to make significant progress in content depth and replayability throughout the Early Access period.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Votica is currently in a playable state, and the core gameplay loop is fully functional. Players can create their characters and complete 12-turn election campaigns in either single-player or multiplayer modes.

The demographic structure is randomly generated, action systems are operational, and some actions include mini-games. AI opponents and a basic balancing system are active. However, some mechanics are still under development, and aspects such as in-game balance, content variety, user interface, and overall flow will be further improved based on player feedback.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No. At this time, we do not plan to change Votica’s price after Early Access. Our goal is to maintain an accessible and fair pricing policy throughout the entire lifecycle of the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Player feedback is critical to the development of Votica. We aim to regularly review input received through Steam discussion boards, surveys, and our Discord server, and integrate it into our in-game improvement plans. Balance issues, new action suggestions, and mini-game ideas will especially be shaped by contributions from the community.

Additionally, we may run small experimental updates in the form of beta patches, allowing players to directly contribute by testing specific feedback-driven changes.”
