What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“As a solo developer, Early Access gives me the opportunity to build the game alongside a passionate community. While I’ve created a solid and playable foundation, I believe that player feedback is essential to refine gameplay, fix issues, and shape future content. Releasing in Early Access allows me to gather insights directly from players, prioritize improvements based on their experience, and ensure the final version is polished and truly enjoyable. This collaborative approach helps me stay focused and deliver the best possible game with the resources I have.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I plan to keep the game in Early Access for approximately 1 to 3 months. This timeframe will allow me to gather feedback, refine features, fix bugs, and implement new content based on player suggestions. As a solo developer, I want to ensure the final release is stable, polished, and meets community expectations. However, this timeline may adjust depending on the scope of feedback and development progress.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to include expanded content, additional features, improved performance, and overall polish based on player feedback. I aim to add more levels, gameplay mechanics, story elements (if applicable), refined AI, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements. The goal is to make the game feel more complete, balanced, and immersive. Throughout Early Access, I’ll be listening closely to the community to shape these additions and enhancements.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version features a solid, playable storyline that introduces the game's main plot and core mechanics. Players can experience a polished portion of the game that includes key story events, exploration, and gameplay systems. While the current content offers a meaningful experience, additional story chapters and deeper narrative development are still in progress. The game is stable and functional, and feedback during Early Access will help improve pacing, immersion, and future story content.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I plan to gradually raise the price as more content and features are added during development. Early Access supporters will get the game at a lower price while helping shape its final form. As the game grows with additional story chapters, improvements, and new features, the final version may reflect that added value with a higher price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I plan to involve the community by actively listening to player feedback through Steam discussions, social media, and email. I’ll be monitoring suggestions, bug reports, and gameplay experiences to help prioritize updates and improvements. As a solo developer, the community plays a huge role in shaping the game’s future — your ideas, experiences, and input will directly influence new features, story adjustments, and overall polish. Regular updates and transparent communication will keep players informed and engaged throughout development.”

About This Game

ABOUT THE GAME

In Static Memory, you play as Haruto (陽翔), a 28-year-old news reporter. Haruto is trying to solve the mystery of his sister Shizuka’s death. She died 9 years ago, and no one ever found out how or why.

Now, Haruto hires a Special Investigation Team to finally discover the truth.

To help his family move on, Haruto takes them to a quiet, beautiful mansion far from the city. It feels like a new start—until strange things begin to happen.

One day, Haruto’s father puts Shizuka’s photo into a frame on the wall. After that, everything changes. Strange sounds come from the rooftop at 3 AM. Doors open by themselves. The house feels different.

Then Haruto’s father dies.

It looks like suicide. But Haruto doesn’t believe it. He tells the team: “First, solve my father’s case. I think his death and Shizuka’s are connected.”

Now, the mansion is full of secrets. Hidden memories, strange events, and painful pasts all come to the surface. Haruto must face the truth—no matter how dark it is.
